Mr F crippled again due to leaving the house yesterday so I'm not even getting dressed today, just going to sit on the sofa and watch films whilst picking at bits of food.

I mean, I feel sad for Mr F but really you're doing Boxing Day right.

I phoned my decorations in this year! The tree with the lights still on from last year was taken out of the box and it's in the bay window with no tinsel or decorations on but from outside you can't tell how bare it is and it looks like we aren't Grinches. There's tinsel over two pictures and the pot dog is wearing his tinsel hat. That's it. The massive box of decorations is here at the side of me, still full.

Normally I take them down around the 5th.

My mum says that if they aren't down by twelfth night (Epiphany Eve) you get goblins in the house and bad luck all year which is a weirdly random mix of religion, superstition and fantasy. I've taken them down earlier, I've taken them down on time and I've taken them down later and my life has just been one bad luck after another so I don't think it matters really

The reason that we have to take it down on the 6th, is exactly because of the Goblins and what your mom says (we use another name for them, but they look exactly the same in depictions).
