Tuesday dies under the crushing weight of capitalism

I woke up at 7am on the dot was still getting ready at 9. Very out of practice.
 
This post from my friend’s neighborhood online group is killing me today (in response to somebody suggesting they switch to solar power)

Today I need to start my diet. 2 stone gain in 2 years is not ok, especially at my age :(

Feels quite embarrassing catching the FLU when everyone's out here getting Omicron. How démodé.
 
I'm not back at work til next week, which is useful since I had to delay Christmas. Off to my mum's tomorrow. Today I am trying to motivate myself to get my vast arse outside for some exercise.
 
Student loan came in, so I went shopping.

I found Liza Minnelli's Results on vinyl for £2, which I was happy with.

I also found Dead Or Alive, Kylie and Donna Summer vinyls. Sadly 'Mandy' had decided to write her ownership all over them.

If I find Mandy, I'm having some serious words.
 
I dare say I’ve had an amazing day. I’m even squeezing the gym in before finishing early. May this be a template for the forthcoming year.

I have reduced hours in January - it means less money but I could care less, I'm so fucking excited at having more free time. I'm going to get back to the gym and start swimming again. Can't wait.
 
I slept 4 hours last night. Today I had my lunch at 10.30am and I've just now had my dinner, at the office. Help me moopy, Christmas has FUCKED me up.

Employing friends is fucking hard work isn't it :bruised:

Especially when they decide they only want to work 3 days a week even when it doesn't fit in with the needs of the business.

Well you knew it was hard work when you only managed them. Of course employing them is going to be worse!

I guess it makes things more complicated but it's pretty much the same with the situation where you come closer to your boss/employee in the day by day interaction and at one point you realize you're now friends.

I think you just have to say no. Either it's full time or look for someone else. You can't afford two staff. It might even be easier with a non friend employee as you don't feel any loyalty.

I think it's sorted now. Possibly crossed wires.

Well she's contracted to 22 hours. Which is fine. But she wants to do them over 3 days and we've said sometimes it needs to be more days, shorter hours.
 
I find it hard even with people who arent friends, its just the difference between being a cunt or not. I want everyone to be happy, and thats my dominant mode, so its sometimes comes before being an actual proper manager. Its not a bad thing rachel babel x
