First day getting up for anything since before Christmas. Everything hurts and I'm tired but I'm gonna...

First day back for me, I'm actually sort of raring to go but just waiting for someone to book in the work so I can get started :eyes:
 
I'm trying to decide whether to get up and go for a walk, or sit on the sofa watching Emily in Paris.

I cant use the wind as an excuse because it's lovely out. But I also do love my sofa.

I'm really enjoying And Just Like That, but Miranda and Carrie's ageing makes me sad.
 
Third day of work here, but it’s only half day today because tomorrow is a bank holiday.

Are people still working from home in UK?

Some are..it's been advised that if you can you should. But loads aren't now.

Left a window open last night and the flats FREEZING. So having a coffee in bed until it’s an acceptable temperature to do anything.
 
I only realised last night the VENTS above my bedroom windows were STILL open in MID-WINTER.
 
Hi mops. I'm incredibly busy over the next few days working on something HEXCITING, and this morning my brother has tested positive for covid and so has my aunt who was out with my mother yesterday looking at wedding venues. So it's ALL go atm. I've decamped back to my own house after spending the holiday with la fam and now I'm just hoping I don't end up getting it too. I spent 5 days feeling crappy with a cold, testing manically for covid, only to turn out negative each time.

The UK should embrace midweek bank holidays, used to love a random Tuesday off in Spain.
 
Anyway I am dead busy and tired of replying to email questions asking if I had a good christmas/new year, so now I'm just ignoring it.

They’re the best because we get half day off the day prior to it, and the whole week becomes like a semi-holiday.
 
So it looks like we're verging onto another strike. Our mayor is the biggest and dumbest bitch ever.

We wanna return to Remote Learning because the city has done NOTHING in response to omicron, despite massive surges in cases and high non-attendance rates. Most parents seem to be in support too.

The union voted for a work stoppage day today. So the city responded by locking us all out of our accounts 🤦
 
Just done my third consecutive day of exercise, might die on the tram, lol.

Its interesting because even Atlanta has switched to virtual this week. Although if you're waiting for the city or country to do anything in response to omicron, you'll be waiting forever

I was just saying yesterday how much better Atlanta is handling this! Even L.A. has done SOMETHING.
 
They made me do a LFT at work at lunchtime because I complained that my pickled onion Monster Munch had no flavour on them and I was going to take them back to the shop. Office girl said she could smell them in reception so she came in and ate one and said there was nothing wrong with them.

The test was negative.
