Actually the town our shop in is like the gay capital of the island. Even our window cleaner is gay.
 
Where's @Floppet? Or any other moopy pet owners (just thinking because I think Floppet has the biggest). What vacuum cleaners to do you have? Our Dyson is clearly dying and I want to get one of those rechargeable stick type ones to replace the drag along cylinder type we have, but I don't know if they are up to the pet hair job or not.

Speaking from a cat and rabbit owners point of view, we find Henry the best. It never clogs up, lasts forever, ours picks up fur, cat litter, hay, everything.

We so also have a cordless Dyson. It's ok for a daily quick clean but I dont rate it highly.

Apparently Shark is good.

Yes, Shark was what I'd been recommended. I'd just like to know someone with pets who has a cordless and is happy with it, because I am sceptical.

In that case, don't go for a cordless Dyson. From my experience, I'm pretty disappointed. The hole is so tiny it clogs up with the smallest amount of anything.

In the park with 3 of his siblings, a girl found them all in a box and she was trying to find them homes, which she did eventually.
Am taking him to the vet tomorrow to tell me what I have to do cause am clueless about puppies.
This is him, poor little guy.

Oh my god he's so cute!! Any idea if the breed?

You'll need to get all his vaccinations done, flea and worm treatment, training etc.

Where are you again?

No idea, he's probably mixed, I don't worry about the vet, he's a fantastic guy who charges me so little and gives me so many freebies that in the end I feel like he is paying me instead for the visits.

I currently have a Dyson specially made for pet hair. It's good but not excellent on Ridley's fluffy undercoat hair which weaves itself into carpet and fabric and I have to take hairdressing scissors to the brush-bar every month because my long hair wraps around it. I'm getting a Shark anti-hair wrap pet one (just need 3000 more points from my shopping scanner) but it's corded and the bucket lifts off for doing the stairs and upholstery. I considered getting the same type but in a rechargable stick but it only has a 40-minute runtime on full-charge and I fear that's nowhere near long enough to do a proper job on the aforementioned undercoat hair. Ridley doesn't even go upstairs anymore but it still takes me an hour to do them properly.

Everybody I know that's gone from a Dyson to a Shark has said they'll never go back to Dyson. I've not heard a bad review from any of them.

My god he's gonna be gigantic then :D
I wish he is the same mix as a neighbor's dog that looks like a hybrid of jack russel and dachshund cause my cat gets along with that dog very well.
But I will know tomorrow.
 
Oh also, rubber shower squeedgies (no idea how to spell that) are amazing at getting pet fur off sofas and rugs.

I could be wrong. He just looks a bit collie like to me. They aren't huge dogs tho. Good luck!

Lovely, thanks. We have three indoor cats so who obviously shed nowhere else - but they are all short haired so I'm guessing it's still a fraction of your problem.

The dying Dyson is a pet hair model which worked fine but an old model now, so they don't make part to replace them. And I would just like to move away from a cylinder one.

He's really soft but I think he may be having a tick (is this correct for the blood sucking thingy?) in his fur, either that or some little scab that's healing.
But I don't want to upset him or wake him up for the time being, so I'll have to ask the vet tomorrow.

Yep ticks look like little moles on the skin. Don't try and remove it cos you might end up leaving the head and then it can get infected.

We used to get clients phoning all the time saying they had found ticks on their cat or dogs tummy. They'd bring them in and 99% of the time it was their nipples :square:

I have a cordless Shark and a pet with hair.

It is an excellent vacuum cleaner (...says Mrs. Indie)
 
Is it normal for a puppy to eat all day? He's eating again and his stomach looks like he is going to explode. Maybe I should hide the bowl? Or do they stop when they're full?

Depends on the dog. My (fully grown) dog would eat until everything exploded if i let him.

But yes, it's sensible not to leave unlimited food for most dogs.

A puppy will eat till it can't physically eat any more. The vet will tell you the amount you should be feeding him per day or check on his puppy food packaging. Overfeeding can cause lots of problems with puppies so don't let him eat all day, with dogs it's best to have either one or two feeding times a day and then you remove any food that's left.
 
Dogs still haven’t figured out their not wild animals, so still think every meal could be their last for weeks.
 
Update. We''re back from the vet and guess what he knew him! He asked me who I got him from and turns out the girl asked the town's volunteers to help her with the puppies so he had already vaccinated my puppy and the siblings and gave them the parasites treatment 4 days ago! He told me he is perfectly ready for now and we'll talk again in a month. He also doesn't have any ticks, but a skin condition that is common in babies and that on the rare occasion it goes on there's a pill but he can't give it to me now cause it's for adults. Oh and he said he's a mix of a thousand species and that he is going to be a small dog and that he's 1,5 months old.
