Not to diminish anything of those who suffered horribly, but he wasn't even on a ventilator, was he? When you think of those who were worse than him but still lived, plus the 150k+ who you know, actually died, we must be talking up towards a million people. But yes, let's feel sorry for him.

Never mind the fact that wasn't he at one of the parties within 2 weeks of being discharged from hospital? Compare that to those who are still living with long covid.

PLUS IT'S A FUCKING SHIT EXCUSE ANYWAY
 
I just still can't fathom after ALL THIS TIME why as a nation we just sit back and take these RIDICULOUS diversion tactics and BARE FACED LIES. I watched SLIMY RAAB on the TV at the gym this morning trying to WORM HIS WAY OUT of things and YES, I still want him to HATE FUCK ME, but that's beside the POINT.

This is where I think there’s a slight issue in using this as an excuse. Many of us have had Covid but that didn’t lead to us all being investigated for 12 separate breaches of lockdown rules.
I’ve done the science and there’s nothing which means exaggerating the severity of your Covid allows you to get wankered with your mates night after night for 18 months, so I really don’t see why they think it’s a trump card.
 
It’s so weird to watch the real time shift in these journalists once they’ve received their brief from the powers that be.

Well quite, you shouldn’t have to have been on ventilation to GET IT. The fact that he was very unwell, sufficient enough to be in ICU, and yet has no comprehension of how significant these events are to the country (and moreover, no evidence of compassion) shows him for the malignant sociopath he is.
 
I thought that Newsnight clip was a disappointment after all the build up. Paul Scully always looks like he's on the verge of decking whoever's interviewing him anyway, so Barnett didn't bring out anything new.
