Is anybody watching this? It’s #1 on UK Netflix. It’s something of a riot whilst not being particularly good - that may be thanks to Kristen Bell. Apparently some viewers aren’t getting that it is a parody - as though the title itself wasn’t enough.

Its kinda shit, but I also really enjoyed. It's ridiculous and sensational.

I watched this a few days back.

I can see why people might miss that it's a parody, because there's like one joke per episode, but I quite enjoyed it.

I can totally imagine Kristin selling a show out of sheer charisma, I love her.

Mind you, I never watch these kinds of thrillers usually, so if I take it as a ludicrous story rather than a parody, would you still recommend it?

Yes I would - the parody is very subtle - it only comes out at certain moments and in certain tropes. Kristin sells the hell out of it to the extent it actually ended up as quite an engaging mystery. Plus it is 8 episodes, some of which are barely 25 minutes long.

It's tricky this, because as a parody it WOULD work, if these 'Girl On The Train In The Window of the Attic of the Front House on the Left Side of the Street' movies didn't already self-parody so much. So the distinction between this and a bad one of those movies, is so slight that you need to almost be an expert in these movies to 'get it'.

The cast do a good job at selling it though. I'm up to the last episode now.

Could have done with more sex scenes with stripper guy though.
