One of the jobs sent me a psychometrics test to take before we move on to the next stages of interviews. When they've mentioned it over the phone I thought to myself oh great cause I was good at this sort of stuff about 10 years ago. But now I took some online tests to see how I currently am and it looks like I suck at it. And now am terrified to do it. Cause out of the two jobs this is for the one I want the most. I maybe need some time to get back to the rationale of the tests but it could take a week before I get to a competent level and I don't have this time, I need to do it by tomorrow. Am panicking now.

You can't "suck" at a psychometric test, you just need to answer them honestly. If they decide you're not a good fit because they're too lazy to get to know you personally and would rather go by numbers on a sheet, then you wouldn't have been a good fit anyway.

Apart from the questions about yourself, it involves various tests with numbers, shapes etc (these usually employ a few recurring patterns of thinking that if I do lots of practice will come back to me) and also some reading comprehension questions that are a little ambiguous cause the differences are subtle and everything is in English. Am thinking I shouldn't do it tonight cause my anxiety has sky-rocketed. I'll just prepare my answers for the other interview and will do the psychometrics test tomorrow hopefully with a clear mind and better self-esteem.
