Morning loves, back in ATH for the past 15 minutes or so cause I have a ferry to catch tomorrow. The apartment hasn't been cleaned or opened for 2 months and it smells something like death and my parking space is taken by some neighbor who realized I don't live here anymore and decided to use it. Luckily I didn't take the car with me, so don't really need the space atm but should I leave a note pretending I am so that at least he knows am annoyed? I already hate being here. And none of the jobs am interviewing for offers remote shifts so I will have to return here pretty soon and for good. How am I going to live here? Will I magically get used to apartment life and neighbors again? 🤷‍♂️

I'm a bit concerned about this storm. :bruised:

The island has been upgraded to Red with winds of over 110mph. Living in a top floor flat is not fun when it's windy.

can't you apply for jobs you can do virtually and work from wherever you are now? If you don't like Athens, maybe you shouldn't live there

and stay safe! hot tip: make sure all your sheds are really nailed or tied down

I feel like us people in the middle of the country are getting the worst of both worlds - the south didn't really get the worst of yesterdays and the north won't get the worst of tomorrows.

I suppose it equally means we didn't get the very worst of either, so i guess that's ok.

I've applied for jobs that it's technically possible to cause you can't really know if they do remote before you talk with them. All of them were quick to let me know that they did remote working during the lockdowns but have now returned to the office, so I guess this is the most common situation now.

Things Scottish people shouldn't eat tomorrow:

I just been into town, got a haircut, a Maccies and a powerbank.

I'M OLD ENOUGH TO REMEMBER THE GREAT STORM OF 1987 AND THE POWER WENT OFF FOR THREE DAYS AND I MISSED MUPPET BABIES AND I WON'T GO THROUGH HAVING NO PHONE OR VAPE.

OMG Muppet Babies 😍

Managed to get a dentist appointment tomorrow, although not without a bitchy e-mail from the receptionist moaning I haven’t been for a while :eyes:

Why are they so passive aggressive?

They're MY fucking TEETH!

I was going to say BUT WHAT DOES MICHAEL FISH SAY then remembered that half of Moopy won't know what I'm on about due to either being TOO YOUNG or FORRIN.

We also have a storm here but at least all the rain is melting the mountains of snow we got last month.

I never get involved in online back and forths as I just can’t be bothered to be honest but just got lured into one on my break where I was the only person extolling the virtues of hyenas. I need to go out straight after work.

I vaguely remember the great storm :disco: I can’t wait for Eunice to devastate the West Midlands and cause billions of pounds of improvements.
