Wednesday is fine for now but I'm afraid we haven't decided to use our new email

Got a team day today but my train was cancelled so I'm now CRAWLING across the North on the slow train :(
 
I woke up this morning at 7am and it was oddly dark and the sky was orange. Apparently we're getting the tail end of a sandstorm from the Sahara.

I have to console heathcliff today who is about to lose his shit because the building fire alarm is being replaced and tested :(
 
Ugh got really stressed at work having a meeting with my nice coworker and the anti-vaxxer, more unhinged and disruptive than usual. I think he may have been privately bollocked later but I just hid in another classroom to prepare my lessons.

I don’t know why he always jangles me like that. Thank god my students were good, if I never had to meet another coworker it would be fine (yes, even the hot ones)

I also seem to have a non-Covid cold brewing which would explain why I'm so TIRED
 
Yeah my PCR and all my LFTs have been negative so my illness must have been something else. Still not entirely convinced though.
 
Overslept and now feel a bit shit. Best haul my carcass outside and get some air/movement.

My tasks for today were a) an interview - got postponed for next week, b) change a lamp - new lamp doesn't work so now I'm waiting for a technician, c) buy sth to apply to some of the bathroom tile joints for a clean and fresh look - most of it got stuck on my hands but sticky fingers crossed I think I've nailed it.

@big ron How did you avoid it? Please not the I’M CLINICALLY INSANE card

By the way I recommend saying I’M ON BEHEFITS (which was true for a mercifully brief period) if ever any of you are caught dropping FAG ENDS on the pavement. Maybe combine it with I’M CLINICALLY INSANE to up the chances of getting away with it :disco:

No big excuse, I was stood in the BENDY bit mid tram, the two inspectors started at the other ends and worked their way inwards. I was just about to make a dart for the door at STRETFORD when they got off.

In a twist of fare-dodging irony I today contested a fine I got on a day I did actually pay.
 
I don’t even have a tram down here to pay a fine for :(

Mind you the main bus stop was a crime scene mere weeks ago :disco:
 
I did always love the mass exodus which ensued whenever inspectors got on those bendy buses (RIP, sort of - Routenaster FTW) in London :disco:

However, having been caught shoplifting when I was 13 and brutally thrown into a cell, I now have the fear of God in me when it comes to being naughty and always top up my Oyster :)
