I can tell the new boy was new because Gabi called him new boy, poor boy

Luxury hot chocolate :D one can only imagine!

I am always tickled by these bizarre calorific déclassé drinks like the honeycomb latte or the cookies and cream cappuccino or whatever it was

I can't stop thinking about rotten old Gabi (I'm picturing Andy Capp's wife, headscarf and all) berating some trembling, translucent-skinned twink who doesn't know how to press the big red button labelled MAKE COFFEE :( What a monster!

Doing a little research there is actually two TIERS of hot chocolate at Pumpkin. Standard and LUXURY. I’m not sure what luxury ingredient the extra 15p gets you, but I imagine the staff look down their nose with UTTER DISDAIN if you don’t opt for the premium option.

“NEW BOY, one HOT CHOCOLATE, no the POVVO VERSION”

I think with such myriad delights on the menu, the machine must look a darn sight more complicated than that!

One false move could spell the difference between a Cinnamon Strudel Whirl and an After Eight Deluxe Choccy Delight

Imagine the complaints if that happened, I’d crumble under the weight of expectations :o

I note that the cups seem to come in two tempting varieties as standard too: Original Pumpkin and White

The PLOT THICKENS

I’m curious about what a FLAT WHITE is, and what high demand forced them to only offer it in Small, at a higher price than a cappuccino!

I'm sure I was at a café recently that had a luxury hot chocolate on offer as well as a normal one, but I can't for the life of me remember where it was :( Just that it WASN'T Pumpkin.

Flat whites were the big thing for a while, weren't they? I forget exactly what they are but everywhere was pushing them a few years ago.

You mean these sumptuous delights might be available in even more quality beverageries? :o

Oh COB, why do you TEASE ME SO???

It’s basically a latte but at some point in the last 5 years became everyone’s default order.

NO ONE IS REALLY SURE WHAT THE DIFFERENCE IS THOUGH.

Is it just milk but they can’t call it milk because they top it up with tepid water and White Spirit?

I honestly wonder what’s wrong with people. Do people write shitty complaints about everywhere, or is Pumpkin just built on hellmouths?

We had a family bring in chips from the fish shop next door into the pub and we told them they couldn’t do that.

We got a complaint a few days later from the family saying they were for their diabetic daughter (15) and not only did we ruin her birthday by not allowing her to eat the chips (!) but also SHE COULD’VE DIED!!!

But doctors from the university of science have proven that chips are 70% more effective than insulin, so I mean no offence but read a book sometimes

I’ve read countless reviews of staff with horrid attitudes and manners in this thread, but still somewhere in my mind I feel like they’ve been sent down this road to despair and anger by these shitty customers :D am I the only one?

They can barely string a sentence together

(apologies if that was just because Tisch was typing it out)
