I think the original poster has much less dignity. Imagine making it onto the cover of magazines half naked and saying all the time you spent working out was 'time wasted' because you weren't one man's type!
(obviously the pick me gays don't have much dignity either, but you suspect they'd probably at least have the decency to be QUITE GLAD WITH THEIR LOT if they looked like him)
