He is risen, the cost of a bag of mini Creme Eggs is fallen!

Morning.

Eurgh I’ve worked the past 6 days including 4 double shifts and now I literally CANNOT MOVE.

I told Job 1 I’d taken another job and they sent a lovely e-mail back saying they totally understand then threw a spanner in the works by offering 5k more than the other people.

I still think I’d rather take job 2 as it’s more ME, but my brain is incapable of making a decision right now.

5k a year, after you consider the tax that would be taken from it, probably wouldn't be quite enough to convince me to take the 'worse' job.

Job 1 is for an embroidery company, job 2 is a fashion label, which I think would generally just be more FUN, and the perks such as travel and free clothes probably do outweigh the extra money job 1 is offering.

Job 2. Do not give job 1 another thought!

Absolutely job 2 Lucille! There's more to life and work than a few extra pounds a month.

Is there any harm in pushing back on Job 2 and asking for more money as you've had an alternate offer? I don't think that's unreasonable at all and might make your answer easier...

Job 2 were only willing to match job 1’s original offer as it was already over their budget, and quite a bit over what they advertised the job at. I know I should push for more but I really don’t want to push my luck, the whole thing’s been a quite stressful tbh.

I’m assuming that the salary is more than you are getting for working at the pub so I would hope you will notice quite the increase in your coffers regardless.

I’ve just had my little pup put to sleep. She was really struggling the past few days, and a big lump was growing on her side which has been growing rapidly over the past week doubling in size each day. Me and the vet decided that it was her time at 14 and a half as for all the love she has given me I couldn’t have her suffer. It will be a quiet house now without her.

I'm so sorry Rita, I know it's cold comfort but at least she won't be in pain any more.

That’s terrible Rita, it seems you did the right thing at the time, although I’m sure that doesn’t make it sting less. X
