I can never decide whether I prefer the album of Freemasons Mix of The One. I think it’s the latter- but just. They’re both incredible.
 
08 No More Rain - I like this as well. Sgt Pepper mixed with WIlliam Orbit mixed with a sprinkling of Kylie campness. It actually works. The vocal is lovely. If we're going to push the Goldfrapp comparisons this is a better effort, although it wouldn't have worked as a single either, it's a bit light for a single. But it's still gorgeous.

It's very rare when a song and its remix can be equally perfect. There are a handful of examples. Might make a good thread topic, that.

I seem to remember the first time I ever heard The One in any form, it was a video of bears at XXL dancing to the Freemasons mix the first time it was ever played :D

I mean I like it obvsiously but I had to check my spotify to see if it had decided it didn't want to play Kylie any more and put on a random Christina Milian track. I think this was the album's biggest SOP to the American market :D There was a weird black and white video with her mincing around in an S&M-like outfit too like a low-rent Janft.
 
07 Stars - and just like that she goes back to some indie pop as though the last 3 minutes of hoping for a place on Trevor Nelson's Friday Night Mix never happened. This feels a lot more on brand obviously. Personally I think the guitars a bit overdone on this track and would work better without them. But I do like it. I particularly like the echoey Stars dont shine hooks. Very nice.

04 Wow - I'm sorry gays I've just never liked this. The chorus really annoys me, the production annoys me and the ubiquity in various cheesy adverts and promos makes it even worse. I'm glad it saved the album campaign or whatever as it's very funforhousewives but I just don't get it.
 
I don’t hate All I See, it’s just not on the right album!
