I want a pond when I get a garden.

Last day I'm London today. Yay.

Queen were incredible. I didn't think I could love Adam Lambert anymore than I already did, but :horny:

And Brian May & Roger Taylor still sound awesome.

The O2 was an ok venue. Very little atmosphere tho while waiting for Queen.

Also, I've been going to concerts all my life, and it's only in the last few years I've noticed people sat anywhere that's not the stalls no longer automatically stand up when the band are on.

Why is this? In any concert I've previously been to years ago everyone, everywhere stands up. But recently any I've gone to they sit down in the balconies etc apart from particular songs.

Is it because venues don't like standing?

Did you make it to Greenwich Park or did Mands kill that idea?

I don't know about standing because I hate going to concerts these days. Now I've seen all my faves live, I can't really be bothered any more.

It was raining when we left the hotel to get to the O2 so we didn't. We may go today tho. The walk along the Thames path to the O2 is very ugly.

I remember going to a Will Young concert years ago and being shocked no one stood. Now it seems normal. Although I can't believe Westlife fans will sit down.

Those Westlife fans are lucky they can stand at all - they must all be in their 80s now :D

I quite like the walk from Greenwich to the O2, but it is rather bleak. Hike up to the top of the park though, I guarantee you will love the view.

I'm not 80 :o

The walk was average if we looked left to the river, to the right not so much. I'll report back on the park if we go!

I'm very sad we only saw a couple of parakeets this weekend. I wanted to see them all :(

Dulwich.

Apparently one of the straightest parts of London but I don't hold that against it :D

That looks nice. I shall Google the rest of it!

We're thinking of coming back later in the year for another few days.

I absolutely couldn't ever live here, but it's far far nicer than I expected and remembered.

I've lived in Hampstead - Angel - The City - Clapham - Dulwich since I moved here. All VERY different and wonderful :disco:

I just googled and realised I lived inside the M25 for 9 years in shepperton. I always assumed I wasn't quite in it.

Angel sounds like it should be nice.

Angel is GORGEOUS. And 2 tube stops from work too!

Shepperton isn't London at all :D

My face has started to peel, which must be a good sign that it's healing (even if it was the least burnt of my burnt patches). Still not sure about the area to the side of my eyes being swollen though. Google images were too horrifying to continue the research. I feel much less irritated though on the plus side :D

Oh locations? I'm far west of the Lothian trio. Aka zone 47 Edinburgh (it's a thing - there is an advert at the moment that says "if it's past 47 it won't go by yeh" and everything).

Just got caught up in the World Naked Bike Ride

Why is it the people you least want to see naked are happiest letting it all hang out?

We're North West, not far from Wembley!
Oh that's where we're seeing Westlife. Any idea where would be easy enough to get back to on public transport where might have hotels cheaper than £300 a night?
