Monday brings a heatwave

Its FREEZING in my basement. I might start renting it out by the hour

Left home at 7am today to avoid the heat and stay in an air-conditioned office all day. Now making my way to an air-conditioned bar and cinema until evening. No idea what to do tomorrow.

It's going to be 22c overnight. That's like a NICE SUMMER DAY

Maybe i'll hit a beer garden at 4am.

I put the car's aircon full on when I left work and had to turn it off before I'd gone 100 yards because it was just pumping hotter air into the car and I couldn't bear it long enough for the cold to kick in so I just rolled both the windows down and enjoyed being whipped in the face by my own hair on the dual-carriageway.

I’ll be fuming if we have to deal with 39 degrees tomorrow but it doesn’t crack 40.

Surely we are all nude right now?

Mind you, I'm only just getting on the bus home, and it's disgusting. I purposely stayed at work an extra hour just so the bus may be slightly more tolerable. Dread to think what it was like at 5pm - 6pm.

According to the local press, Bristol peaked at 35.3° today, beating our previous highest recorded temperature of 34.7° in 2006.

I think that somwhere in Suffolk is no. 1 on the maximum recorded temperature shart thus far in England.

I havent had working aircon in a car for years, after getting used to it in ibiza here is usually a doddle

I don't know how you 35+ degree people are coping. I nearly died earlier in 30 degrees. I sat under a big weeping willow in my mum's garden.
