Do people not look at pics like this and think, WHAT THE FUCK ARE WE DOING?

Liz will probably have a higher death rate than Winston Churchill and Tony Blair combined. And they'll all be clumsy accidents.

Is that one of the crosses from the Blair Witch Project next to it?
:D it's a stickman. Apparently it's from some kids TV program and there's someone on the island who makes them. So she gave us two.

Question.

If the PM and all her people decided they wanted to pass some new law, like... banning gay marriage or similar, does the king have to agree to it before it can be passed? And if he doesn't agree it can't become law?

Was just chatting to the hot Turkish barber who lives downstairs, who told me a guy CRIED whilst getting a haircut when they found out, and he was, quite rightly, BAFFLED, by the whole thing.

In theory a monarch doesn't have to sign off on a law. In practice it doesn't happen. They're supposed to be politically neutral

That being said Charles has been rather notorious in expressing his political views and attempts to influence the government. He has stated that will end now. But who knows?

Yes I did see that actually. I'm wondering if he will manage to keep quiet.

For some reason I assumed the monarchy did have to agree to new laws before they were passed. That saddens me a bit.

Fuck that I'm afraid. That's way too much power.

That would be giving so much power to one person, which can be seriously problematic. Charli 1 closed Parliament for a decade because he believed he had a divine right to rule. He ended up being executed.
