Queen Elizabeth II DEAD

I watched about 10-15 minutes on the iPlayer on Thursday, apart from that - nowt. Totally running this via Moopy
 
All the speculation on Thursday afternoon was exciting, other than that it’s been very MEH since.
 
I’ve avoided all newspapers (not that I buy them anyway) but I can only imagine the horror show front pages and the SPECIAL EDITION PAGES 2-35 overkill that they’ve had stashed for years, that I’m sure they think is a wonderful tribute but is actually incredibly exploitative and ghoulish

Trying to work out who the Queen is meeting at the Pearly Gates. I can spot Philip, Major Lady Tom, Diana, Cilla, Brucie, Rod Hull(!), Harry Seacombe and Barbara Windsor.

Is that someone from Hi Di Hi?
 
I object strongly to Cilla being there. That would be real kick in the teeth to airline staff the world over.
 
With the attention this is getting, I'm sure she'll get a half decent lawyer who will volunteer and, hopefully, take Police Scotland to task for this.

They didn't arrest Janey Godley for her "Trump is a Cunt" which is obviously a much more offensive sign, targeted at an individual rather than an institution, so i just don't see how they have a leg to stand on here.

I think nearly everyone agrees Trump is a cunt.

Not sure this lass deserves arrest for holding a placard. Although some might point out that protesting a coffin is exactly what the Westboro Baptist Church do.

She wasn't protesting the funeral though. Also, protesting private citizens is an entirely different thing to protesting a public figure who had power. People protested Thatcher's funeral, and were right to do so.

They could have. That they didn't doesn't mean they can't arrest anyone for obscenity.

There's no question that the sweary-word was an excuse. Whether or not it's a good enough excuse, well, we'll see.
 
Under Scots Law, breach of the peace can be any conduct severe enough to cause alarm or disturbance to the community. Waving an anti-monarchy sign in the midst of a group of people paying respects to the Queen’s coffin passing by probably fits that description.
 
Isn‘t Prince Andrew there? How is no one tempted to SHOUT at him?
