Center Parcs are kicking out their guests!

Surely if they were closing, as in giving their staff a day off, their existing guests could just stay in their rooms on a discount, get food from outside and expect no service. What a palaver.

That's a shocking and awful decision made by them

Why can't they close all attractions and venues but let people stay in their accommodation?!

I don't get why establishments that would be open on a Bank Holiday as normal are not staying open and giving their staff a day off in lieu. There's a reason they stay open as they provide a service and are needed.

I know no-one NEEDS Center Parcs, but you kinda do if you're in the middle of your stay!

Can confirm my departments cancer clinic was cancelled for Monday. It is actually cheaper to rearrange everything for an extra Saturday session than have to pay BH pay and an extra days AL in lieu.

Not that that was why it was cancelled by the way….!

With support services like phlebotomy, ecg, ultrasound, imaging all down, we would have had to bring the patients back for an additional visit in any case.

As my team work out of health centres, I can't do my routine work if the health centres aren't open.

But we've been given the choice of taking the day off (which I've done - no interest in watching the funeral though), or getting the day added to our annual leave and either catching up on admin in the office, or supporting other parts of the organisation which will be opening as normal, thereby allowing our deeply royalist colleagues to take the day off if they want to.

It almost seems TOO SENSIBLE!
