A random sense of nostalgia and the huge amount of change overs and struggle over who will be the leader of charts in this year, no song holding on to Number 1 position for more than 3 weeks. :disco:

This has led me to open this game in honor of the last year of music before the turn of millenium. That's all there is to it. :D

So which of these 90s artists will hold up and who will fade back into obscurity as we discovers Moopy's favourite artists and number one hits of the end of a decade.

Will Geri Halliwell dominate another Moopy vote? Will any of the Westlife or Boyzone songs make it past Round 1? Who will be thrown to the wolves first and who will receive mercy and respect to carry on?

In this round you are voting to SAVE UP TO 20 ACTS/TRACKS you want to move on to the next round.

For this game, I'm going to alternate between two rounds to save, followed by a round to eliminate. 👿

Possibly my favourite year of music, or at least one I have the most emotional connection to. I actually felt something inside from the wave of nostalgia from just scrolling down that list.

I've definitely listened to all of them, but I cannot remember a bunch of the Boyzone and Westlife songs

What an absolutely horrendous list of songs :D

1999 was an amazing year for dance music but R&B was dying a death and pop music had gone girl/boy band and europop crazy. There were so many megahits and the sales were insane but it just went TOO mainstream for me.

I’m sure this is my least favourite year for number ones. So much novelty PAP

I picked 3 of them :D the rest can all fuck off.

2000 was a much better year for #1s

Has the VERY EXPENSIVE and SOPHISTICATED Millennium Prayer video been deleted off YouTube? :o

It really was the decade of very pricey videos.

Yet two of the biggest hits of 1999 videos that looked like they were produced on an A-level social media course.

(Cliff and Eiffel 65)

Westlife obviously dreadful, but I still had to throw a vote to my beloved comedy classic Seasons In The Sun.

I posted it somewhere else quite recently, but the facial expressions DESTROY ME.

Bryan's fake emoting and Lee Ryan level terrible ad-libbing towards the end is the highlight, but they're all on rare form. Useless little Nicky with his SAD SAD DOWNCAST EYES also sends me. :D

I agree about King of my castle, but Sweet like chocolate is even worse!

I feel like I could’ve easily voted to save the whole list except for Westlife and Boyzone.

Strange to see King of My Castle topping the charts in November. This was very much a summer hit here.
