Of course things got far, far worse in terms of beige music dominating the upper reaches of the charts, so there's probably a strong element of rose tinted glasses.

That’s actually true, back in simpler times they had to recieve all the hate that nowadays is projected towards anything from The Karadashians to Victor Orban.
