Jailed for fifty years, no parole :(

Good morning 🌞 I had a pretty early night, though there was a BIT of sleeplessness as my mind is slightly racing with moving preparation stuff. Planning to go around the charity shops this morning, as I'll need to get a new sofa.

On the way to Bath for a record fair and a mooch

I'm off to a beautiful beach cafe for lunch. Then to a mini exhibition at sandown airport, I'm hoping someone offers to buy Mandy's mini, because 3 vehicles is too much :argh:

I really do feel horribly rough. Sore throat, fuzzy head, runny nose, and really tired. This has been a very unwell year for me.

Today I need to buy a Mariah wig.

My tooth has been hurting all week and I woke up today in UNBELIEVABLE PAIN. Can’t quite believe how good the NHS were today, I called 111 and they got me an appointment within 40 minutes! A quick filling and luckily it’s over. Why are teeth so fucking EXTRA when something’s wrong?

I went and got, y’know…BITS from Lidl for lunch and it was quite the delight.

Going to have a stroll into Gunwharf in the sunshine and then go see See How They Run at the flicks this afternoon.

All in all, a lovely lazy Saturday.

They’re opening a gym 2 minutes away from my house… I think I should take this as a sign from the universe not to be a fat pig from hell and get my shit together

I've given birth and I'd rather endure a 24-hour labour, delivery and associated pain than deal with pain from a tooth abscess any day.

Had one or two too many ales last night but had an excellent night so, worth it.

Today I have quite a lot of new music to be enjoyed. Not bad at all.

It was ungodly! Not even codeine had any effect, managed to keep the pain at bay by sucking on an ice cube, but the moment I stopped it was unbearable, has to travel to the dentist with a BAG OF ICE in a tote bag.

I went to the cinema this afternoon. The local Vue. It’s got new fancy reclining seats. I found them delightful, but Mr Sheena just fell straight asleep and that was that!

Even without reclining seats, once the lights go down and the film starts I fall asleep and usually get woken up by Mr F at the end of the film. It's why I rarely go anymore, it's too expensive a little nap.

What film did you see?

See How They Run.

It was alright, but more of a “lazy afternoon on DVD” film, I’d say

I went to a Mini meet today with Mandy and my brother's family. It was ever so odd. We went on a drive out round the island in convoy and people were lining the streets waving and taking photos of us. I felt like royalty :disco:

I bought a suite from Shelter in the end, two sofas and a POOF for £350. It is quite nice if probably not what I'd have picked if money was no object, and I think it will look good once it's all in place.

Also arranged to get some furniture collected from here the day before I leave - my existing sofa (which will probably go straight onto the shop floor for about £20) and the bedroom wardrobe (which I'll no longer need as the new flat has integrated ones). I've also asked them to take a table that's probably too knackered for them to sell, but it would help me out if they took it (I told them all this on the phone and apparently it's fine :eyes:). Starting to feel like I'm getting a handle on it all, bit by bit...

a POOF?

Big Bru will scratch it all up anyway right?
Yes, this is definitely a concern! He never touched the sofas at my flat which were made of cheapo leatherette rubbish, but one of the (fabric) sofas at ZG's flat is in a terrible state... I really don't know how he's going to be with these ones :D

my roommate's cat destroyed our old couch, to the point that she had to purchase it from her college dorm, but he doesn't ever scratch our new nicer one

We've needed new furniture for a couple of years and haven't bought it because all we do is endlessly stroll around department stores and furniture shops going 'oh isn't that lovely?' and then 'it won't last 5 minutes'. Surely there must be SOME fabrics which won't get shredded.
