Eastenders 2022

According to the BBC site it's back on BBC1 this week, 8:30 tonight then back to 7:30 tomorrow.

Denise must live next to the set. She always does these bits.

And Kathy is 73!

I guess we won't see that picture of the Queen again for about 6 weeks.

That was a fantastic episode, Kat versus Sharon has been bubbling away for a while but has the potential to become a truly legendary EastEnders feud if they play their cards right.

As much as I find the Kat/Alfie/Phil/Sharon thing a bit contrived, and wish they’d actually give Phil and Kat a chance, I did really enjoy that episode.

It was clearly written by someone who actually knows the characters, their personalities and their histories, which has been severely lacking in recent years.

I am SO CONFUSED. My planner told me it was on at 9, and I have it on series record but it didn’t record last nights episode. 😡

I did of course download it earlier and it was a FABULOUS EPISODE.

I'm really not sure! I've got it on iPlayer, apparently they go up at 7:30pm each day this week regardless of when they air on TV.

I don’t think it even showed last night on BBC One. The ceremonial stuff overran and they jumped straight to The Capture.

There are some cracking one liners tonight.

“It’s like when Joey and Rachel got together”
“I smell like baby oil and bad life choices”
Kim’s whole story about Four Toe Joe.

Truly iconic! I also noted with interest that Marie in the caff got to give us not quite a line, but certainly an approving NOISE.

Shirley: “He bought me a rose once, off of some old woman at Custom House. Mind you I had just delivered him a gun, so…” :D

Mick wasn't able to have sex because of all the trauma from dealing with his abuse, it was definitely a plot point early in his relationship with Janine but I might have missed a scene where they mentioned getting past it.

Yes you are right, but they do seem rather insatiable and are now living together I think? I can’t recall any scenes with them in bed together though, so I’m really not sure?

Watching this is somewhat incredible, they seemed to have a Julia's Theme episode every other month in the early days :D Lofty has at least THREE Julia's Theme endings

Do we think Janine has got rid of the baby, but is saying she is still pregnant so Mick doesn’t get back with Linda? I think him getting back with Linda is inevitable BUT he is leaving relatively soon. He must have filmed his final scenes by now?

I can also see Alfie and Linda getting together at some stage if Kat and Phil stay together so he is back at the helm of The Vic. Not sure if Shane Ritchie is back long term though?

Maybe, but I assume that she either loses it or terminates at a later date. They’re all bound to find out about Janine’s involvement in the accident soon.

It surely has to come out, and her being pregnant may be what prevents them going to the cops.

SPOILER

I think this week Scarlett goes to see Linda to tell her about the crash, but I am not sure if she actually gets round to telling her.

SPOILER

Janine is leaving again :( Her final scenes will be aired over the New Year period, so around the same time as Micks.

So, is Ravi
not ACTUALLY Ravi? Ranveer did say "you're not my son" just before he died, at the time I thought it was a tedious paternity thing, but could it be that this is an imposter posing as Ravi and getting away with it as he was away in prison for years?

The other possibility is that he's secretly a Panesar himself - I think Suki being his mother is TOO far fetched (shades of Kat and Redwater :eyes:), but he could easily be the secret son of her husband, who is due to show up quite soon :o
