The United Kingdom: The Liz Truss CRASHING THE PORK MARKET WEEKS 🐷🐖📉📅🥬

The GDPR proposal is change for the sake of change. It actually works well. Do they not contemplate how in their supposed cutting of red tape, they actually make more work for business?
Yes. It's a detraction from an "EU Thing" to bring in are own luvvly jubbly British version which will essentially set out to do a similar thing.

And anyone who wants to do any business with the EU will still need to comply with GDPR on top of this new British version presumably? What a waste of time.

Let's see it get quietly dropped in a month or so.

Oh sorry just skipped over the big issue there. CHOCOLATE ORANGES. :goodgrief:

That's utter bollocks right? WH Smith still plug their out of date chocolate at the till I assume?

Next time the Georgia government pisses me off, I’ll do something drastic to get back at them, like move around items at the grocery store

I just can’t with this cunt. If people are worried about not being able to pay their bills because of the higher inflation then you shouldn’t help increasing inflation with massive tax cuts (for the rich).

*pulls string* Let me be clear... what I am doing... is delivering... very difficult circumstances... for Vladimir Putin.

We already have this - the Data Protection Act 2018! That in effect put GDPR into UK law and was the basis of the UK being granted an adequacy decision in 2021, which allows organisations/businesses to continue to work within the EU markets with some ease. The problem is the government will strip out a lot of the existing protections in the name of reducing red tape and boosting the economy (i.e. anyone who's on @Star's christmas card list will have their personal data sold to the highest bidder at the earliest opportunity).

But as you say anyone who hopes to do business with the EU will need to comply with GDPR. Although whether the EU would still be willing to give British companies subject to UK law access to their markets is another matter.

Wow Suella just solved the employment crisis right there - "what we need to do is train our own HGV drivers, butchers and fruit pickers".

With near full employment in the UK and the low wages some of those jobs pay, good luck with that.

I don’t know what you’re talking about. We have a massive pool of the economically inactive, consisting of the long term disabled, children and dead people, who are just desperate to be trained to pick strawberries for £9.50 per hour.

This speech actually is unhinged :D
It’s reminding me of the conference scene in The Witches. I keep expecting her and the audience to remove their fake heads. I do hope Kier Starmer isn’t hiding in the corner in there, if they see him they’ll turn him into a rat :(

OMG she’s doing a BIT! :D

”As for the lawyers… don’t get me started on the lawyers!"
