I'm in that sort of mood
I know Purpose will be controversial.
But I think these three albums are the
holy trinity of 'boy pop' records
in the last 20 years.

I prefer Fine Line to Harry’s House. But Harry’s House does feel bigger. I wonder how it’ll hold up in the long run
 
I love futuresex/lovesounds and I especially loved it when it came out. The sound of Justin/timbaland/nelly furtado really brings me back to the time
 
Purpose has great singles but is hit or miss for me
 
most of FutureSex/LoveSounds has dated hideously. Timbaland did not futureproof that shit. but I don't CARE FOR JUSTIN anyway.

I actually happened to listen to the first two tracks the other day. The title track is still my fave and so lush and SexyBack actually doesn't sound dated.
 
I see it - I don’t especially love all three but it’s the same vibe of crystallising everything the start of their careers (solo or otherwise) was leading up to.

They are the submissions for “here is my blockbuster album”

I wonder what the girl equivalents are
 
I’d say Rihanna’s Loud, Beyoncé’s Sasha Fierce…

I don’t feel like Britney, Xtina or Ariana have really had one like that?

It’s a specific vibe - It can’t be a debut, or even a second album just being a more focused push (like Good Girl Gone Bad) - Timberlake gets a pass because of NSYNC

Actually, Jark's list does seem to miss some high profile Blockbusters that the world has forgotten about, aside from Nelly, like Lorde, Drake, Adele, Lana, The Weeknd...
