Pride starts tonight, but I have such a long work day to get through first

My dishwasher's not been heating the water inside it so, bored because I was on my own, I decided to ignore Mr F's advice to "leave it alone" so I pulled it out of it's home under the utility room counter. Unfortunately I forgot that I wasn't wearing shoes and somehow the dishwasher ended up on my big toe which is now throbbing and I daren't take off my sock to see the damage. Then I took all the filters out and cleaned them and I got my torx screwdriver out and faffed around with the pump for a while. I've not switched it on again yet to see whether I managed to make a difference but I'm having to pretend I'm not in excruciating pain otherwise Mr F will know I ignored him.

Honestly, women!

He's being an absolute arsehole at the hospital. Swiping and hissing at anyone who goes near him. They can't even change his litter tray.

They did manage to drag him out of his kennel to have yet more bloods done. And he's staying in another night.

We went to visit him and he hissed at me until he realised it was me 🤦🏻‍♀️

It's about 7 years or so since we did the pet hospital. I hope it's at least another 7 before we need to do it again.

I hope he's home soon.

It's not a nice place to be. Seeing him hooked up to a drip and so frightened is horrible. Hopefully he will be home tomorrow..then we need to manage this at home, plus his diabetes 🤦🏻‍♀️
 
So I'm organising a fundraiser next week and part of it is a raffle. We seem to be having some debate about how to draw the raffle.

I thought the host would pick up the prize from the selection and then randomly chose a ticket and that's the winner.
Others are saying you put all prizes on display, host picks a ticket and then that person comes up and chooses a prize from the selection.

Not everyone who bought a ticket will be there on the night, although most will be represented by someone. The prizes vary massively in price from £50 lego set to a bar of tolberone.

How would you run the raffle?
 
Probably in order of cheaper to more expensive items
 
Second way for sure. Otherwise you run the risk of things ending up in places they won’t be enjoyed- and if any booze involved, that’s even worse if it ends up with a teetotaller/alcoholic!

Let people choose and if someone isn’t there or represented, the host makes a choice. (And always make it mid range- definitely not top prize, but not the worst)

The first way is how I always thought raffles were run, but the second way seems to be the new way to do it from raffles I've seen.
