The problem I have with pizza is that so much of it is meh.

Supermarkets and Italian restaurant chains have ruined it for me.

I really appreciate a good one on the rare occasion I ever have it.

I had pasta tonight, but it's there for when I've got almost nothing in the fridge/cupboards and can't be bothered shopping. Pizza, I'd rather not as I see most of them as junk food - a proper one (that I could never make myself) is a different story, they are divine.

Yeah the lemon was too much

Yeah lemon belongs on pizza not pasta.

I mean the lemon wasn't BAD, it did make it a bit more interesting, its not like fish and chips has the widest range of flavours, but it was just big slices at once

This was such a treat to read through last night, and to answer the question it's PIZZA ALL THE WAY for me 🍕 And I agree with whoever said they're better without a lot of cheese - just a tiny sprinkling (but loads of sauce) is my preference.

My contributions last night were brought to you by FENTANYL. All gone now

Why not call your physician now and demand a batch? :disco:

I thought I'd exit the hospital torture chamber slumping along like a rag doll with tongue lolling but in fact it made me quite sociable and chatty which was a bit shocking

What do we think of people who order Margarita pizza from a delivery pizza chain?
Need electrocuting. Not very imaginative or exciting, is it? Perhaps they're the sort who like to save the pennies and sprinkle on delicious cold toppings such as sweetcorn (:)) and green pepper (:zombie:) when it arrives :disco:

I have NEVER done this! The closest I've come is modifying a (fresh or frozen) pizza by adding my own toppings before it goes in the oven, which is an entirely different thing

Actually I think that's reasonable if a bit too much* effort for my liking

*FAR TOO MUCH MORE LIKE

Also this is mandatory viewing in any pizza discussion - love how the Brazilians do it :eyes:

Probably the only one they like. I met this guy who didn't like anything in general, forget about crazy pizza toppings like ham, mushrooms or anchovies. We were eating out for a few days in Stockholm in one of those places where they have several stands with foods from different countries, and when we were enjoying different dishes every time he sticked to that boring Margarita day after day

Can I mention the many arguments we had about cooking our own rice instead of just ordering it from the takeaway!?

I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN WE WERE DOOMED
Oh no it's all turning very unpleasant

I assume the rice was to accompany something which was actually ordered from the takeaway? Admittedly rice from the takeaway can be a bit pricey and dear for what it is (especially if it's plain), not that it's ever stopped me. I refer you back to my EFFORT point made earlier

How often do you order food? Because some of you talk like if you do it every week  I can't remember the last time I had take away.

Yes, I was very much on your side. If you are getting takeaway the point is very much not to cook at all!

Well we don't want to be sat in eating GRUEL night in night out and I think weekly orders are MORE than reasonable

I probably do it every two weeks or so although I shall refrain from presenting my Just Eat order history JUST IN CASE :eyes:

I fully stand by the rice thing - we're all supposed to be tightening our belts in these recession times after all, plus it's really easy to make rice that's better than what you get from a takeaway!

I understand you're not talking about plain rice, what's the standard for rice over there? I guess not paella.

I would say that if you're having plain basmati, you might as well whip up a batch rather than paying £4.00 or whatever. I mean one needs to wait for the delivery anyway and one would only otherwise spend the time in internet chatbooths having fatuous arguments about Spice Girls singles, raking up past relationship resentments in full public view and rowing about whether pizza or pasta is better :disco:
