The one contest NO ONE ever wanted imagined to come back has done so!

Last time Kalavision took about SEVEN months to complete. This time it will take SEVEN days!

Monday 14 Nov 1pm - Wednesday 16 Nov 1pm - Submission Period (48 hours)
Wednesday 16 Nov 8pm - Live First Viewing Gala
Wednesday 16 Nov 11.59pm - Saturday 19 Nov 11.59pm - Voting Period (72 hours)
Sunday 20 Nov 8pm - Live Results Gala

(All times are GMT)

To keep things simple there will be no Avatars/countries etc, so all you have to do is send the following to me by PM:

ARTIST NAME
SONG TITLE
SPOTIFY LINK
YOUTUBE LINK

All songs must be on both Spotify and YouTube. And since it's a speed round, all songs must also be speedy - Only songs 3 minutes or less (3:00) as the official time on Spotify are accepted (The video can be longer die to credits etc)

So that's it - get your thinking caps on and send me your songs NOW! And remember it is first come first served, so the quicker the better!

My initial choice is 3.06 long. :(

Fortunately, I have lots of alternative possibilities. :disco:

Thanks to all who have entered so far, I will reply to your PMs soon to confirm your entry has been accepted.

I have to say, having this short window makes things MUCH more exciting from my perspective, it’s more stressful from a time perspective for everyone but also it’s less of a commitment from an organising perspective, as it’s all done and dusted quickly.

If it all goes well then we could do more of them this way, but let’s see…

The problem with short voting windows is that there is no time for the songs to grow. I usually listen to the ones which aren't actively offensive at least 3 or 4 times, whereas here if I listen twice, that's the most they'll get. An occasional speed round is fun, but I'd hate it to replace the slower paced events.

Yeah you're right. The reason why I chose a short time limit was to allow for more repeated listens easily. We can always amend future speed rounds to haver a longer voting period, but I think the timing works good to try to squeeze it all in one week before an Xmas ASFM.

Which is why I think it's essential to go for something with a bit more of an immediate impact, so I'm expecting some punchy bangers on Wednesday.

I’ve entered my first speed round. It’s a fun for Europe kinda event, I couldn’t commit to such short timescales generally.

I had 4 options to choose from and a couple that sadly were just a few seconds over.

I went with the one that will make a bigger immediate splash but that also won’t waste a great entry on a speed round
