I mean, the only other song I know about doctors is Grounded by Pavement and it's a bit of a surreal take on a medical conference. Swift writes a blissful song about the plight of a sleep-deprived junior doctor and you lot are still bothered about some fucking cardigan.

"the 1" is just not very good at all.

"my tears ricochet" is fine but it sags an otherwise perfect run from "exile" to "this is me trying".

I like "the 1" but it's a bravely low-key opener, especially for an album that was 'dropped' at a few hours notice. It sets the scene that this is going to be a very different kind of album.
