Two songs tied for 20th place, for the last qualification spot. As with last time, on account of it being the first round of the game, I am going to do a quick flash vote run-off to determine which one moves on.

Beetlebum is such an oddity #1 in the sense that Song 2 is probably the defining Blur song these days. I wonder why they didn't lead with it. It would probably have the set the album up for much bigger success.

Damon is a cunt but the rest of Blur are decent and yes they are men with guitars and drums and all but they’re a pretty good band.
 
Just get rid of them both. Neither are going to go close to winning

As much as the Teletubbies gave us an eldritch masterpiece of candyfloss confusion, it has to be Blur. Beetlebum is a brilliant record despite being quite a flimsy song -as such, it gives an excellent account of Blur as a unit. Rowntree hangs back, catching that this is a no frills scenario. James's bassline is a treat and Coxon is the not so secret weapon. Also, another #1 about heroin and there;s not many...
