I swear that Marble Garden Zone Act 2, where the whole level starts dissolving all around you, is what kickstarted my anxiety as child.

My brother got a little console that has all the old game consoles and games on it. Chinese I think. We were playing Sonic from the Sega Master System yesterday.

Good morning! I spent my commute (and most of my first hour at work) in acute gastric distress, happy Friday to me 😎

So I've done zero work this week and it's been a DELIGHT. Tuesday- Thursday I decided to spend the days charity shopping and Christmas shopping, which was a delight, stayed in a couple of hotels, had a bit of sex in laybys, THAT SORT OF THING.

And today I'm doing lots of life adminning and finishing my Christmas shopping. Also breaking the habit of a lifetime and putting the tree up this weekend before December 1st (COMMON!) as I don't think we'll have time otherwise.

Oh, and I'm having ANOTHER bit of cancer removed from my foot this afternoon, so HAPPY DAYS :disco:

I guess that’s the generation gap showing, for me it was the Marble Zone in Sonic 1 where the lava chases you. I hid in the toilet while my sister completed that bit

PS I have 100% time for that thread title

One more day to get through but it’s NO KIDS SATURDAY

And after skipping a week I’ll get RUBBED out for my stretch massage

@lolly, Mandy and I are coming to Bristol on 28th January for 3 nights for a fudge conference. The conference is only on the Monday. We could meet you!

Two questions, what's The Village hotel in Filton like?

And Mandy said is the Coronation Tap in Clifton still open?

No idea about the Village hotel, being another one that isn't actually in Bristol at all. It must be nearly 10 miles out of the centre.

The Coronation Tap is still open as far as I'm aware. I've not been for about 7 or 8 years, but it's a bit of a local institution, so I'm sure I'd have heard had it closed.

I've got a friend coming over from Swansea on the 28th itself, but could see you on the Sunday.

Oh that's annoying. That's the one Roly's have booked for us.

Mandy and I are going somewhere on the Saturday to see some Cher musical thing 🤔

Sunday works for us in the day.

Where's the conference?

The Cher thing is on at the Hippodrome on the city centre.

At the Village hotel I believe. As is dinner that's provided.

Is the Hippodrome easy to get to 🤔

Probably not from the hotel. I imagine it will be about an hour by public transport. It's not so far from Patchway railway station by the look of it, but trains aren't frequent on that route. Not sure if the hotel is directly on any bus route at all. You're probably better off driving (but then having to worry about parking) or getting an uber or a cab, but I suspect you're looking at over £20 each way.

I think I'll let Mandy organise it all 😬

Actually you are only a few minutes from a direct bus route right into the centre, 2 minutes from the Hippodrome. It probably will take pretty much an hour, though.

I quite like a bus ride.

Has anyone had their iPhone turn itself off while on charge overnight and the alarms consequently not work?

I HAVE and now I’m rushing to work and I’m PISSED

Thank fuck I woke up at basically the point of no return

Don’t think I’d like the BALLET. Much the same as I don’t like OPERA.

I don't like the opera. I can't really follow the ballet that well but at least there's usually some hot guys in tights.
