Not really. It’s pretty much the same as what happened in the group stages of Euro 2020 and they came within two kicks of a ball of winning that.
 
America are good at many things, such as egg based breakfasts and Lisa Kudrow, but they really shouldn’t be battling us to a goalless draw at the footballs.

It was painful to watch, a classic group stage match under the football terrorist Gareth Southgate.

That said, it would be very England to finish second in the group then fluke past Ecuador and Saudi Arabia into the semis.

I agree, I'd much prefer Iran to go through. The US got the result they wanted but aside from Pulisic, they may as well have played 10 defenders outfield, that kind of grinding pressing game is effective but really not entertaining at all. At least Iran have a bit of creativity in them.
