Too many and I’m thinking of getting AMC+

Netflix and Mubi.

I forgot Amazon Prime because I never use the tv part of it really…

I think it's because of the deal Sky has to show HBO here.

And that's another one we've got.

Yes that deal is up in 2025, and the assumption is they will launch here then, though whether they still have some arrangement with Sky I don't know. It would certainly be a blow to Sky to lose the big new HBO shows.

Ah, I see. Do they broadcast all the current shows?

A lot but not all, for instance Hacks ended up on Amazon and some of the other HBO Max ones elsewhere. I think they get first dibs basically.

I don’t know why, but we didn’t get first season of Hacks until months later on HBO Max.

I have Apple Music, Apple TV, Prime, Netflix, Crave, Hayu, Disney+

I should cancel some but I like having them.

We don’t have HBO Max as well, we have something called Crave which has the rights to all HBO shows.

I’m so glad they launched HBO Nordic streaming service here in 2012, and then HBO Max from last year on. We only had an expensive cable TV channel back in the 90’s and 00’s that had a deal to show some/most of the HBO shows in real time. The other channels would broadcast some of the shows a year or two later.

Also when they turned Nordic into Max last year they had a deal that you could get a new subscription with permannent 50% off, so I only pay about 4€ a month. :disco:

I pay for Netflix, Disney+ and Now TV (the entertainment package). Use Netflix constantly so not one I'd consider cutting, Disney+ on the other hand I could easily get rid of and only subscribe when "Only Murders In The Building" comes about. Now TV I could maybe get rid of after the current season of White Lotus but they tend to offer a temporary discount when you try to cancel and I just think 'oh go on then...'

The other half pays for Amazon (despite me being the bigger user of it on the TV, to watch the tennis) and has the Apple services.

Never heard of HayU, what the hell is that? I don't have any of them, well HBO but because of a friend, not paying for it, and I still use my ipod, can't find anything on Spotify. I have a Spanish one that comes with my internet with movies and series but most of the shit I watch I have to get it from torrents or stream it from websites because it's not available in any of those places.

We have NowTV too because my flatmate pays for it and shares it with her parents. We very rarely watch it. I can’t for the life of me even think what HBO shows I’d ever be interested in seeing. Curb Your Enthusiasm whenever they make a new series maybe, but that gets aired on other channels all the time anyway.

Spotify and Netflix (although I only got the latter again to watch The Crown, and will probably cut it before I'm charged for another month). I also have a Disney+ log-in somewhere but it's not mine, so it doesn't count.

I don’t pay for any of then but I have Spotify premium, Disney+, Netflix, Wow Presents*, Amazon Prime and Apple TV

Can you still access torrents websites there?

I never paid for ANY STREAMING SERVICE ever until this year when I tried Spotify and the amount of music I've discovered thanks to it is so VAST that I think it's money well spent.

If you have an Android phone you can have YouTube Vanced installed in it which removes adverts and let's you turn off the screen to play music :eyes:

Netflix and Disney+. In case i need something which is not available on those two platforms, i use this pay per view option on my firestick.
Doesn't happen too often, but still good to have, right? The only pain i had was with the Handmaid's tale - Hulu's official tv show.
Other than that it is not a problem these days. No need to be sign with all the possible streaming platforms

Has anyone rented a series on Amazon Prime? It seems like the easiest non-download way to watch Doctor Who for me, and loathe as I am to do it, I have made my peace.

What I want to know though, is does it have the same expiry date as just renting a movie? Or does that apply to each episode or what?

If you have Disney plus, won't it be in that soon?
