Can you ask the delivery service to compensate you for the loss?We now have to refund the customer and lose the money![]()
Yep but they will only compensate for the cost of manufacturing, which is obviously less than the cost of sales, postage costs. Can you ask the delivery service to compensate you for the loss?
Are they going to charge for postage they have failed to deliver?is obviously less than the cost of sales, postage costs.

Are they going to charge for postage they have failed to deliver?![]()
Well we will have to refund the customer the postage, I assume RM will refund it actuallyAre they going to charge for postage they have failed to deliver?![]()
Mandy thought originally we were covered up to £100, which still meant a loss if £20 plus postage. But now she's read something that says it covers manufacturing costs only.Is the rule for last parcels not 100 times the postage cost being the limit for compensation? Or did I make that up?

Well we will have to refund the customer the postage, I assume RM will refund it actuallyI think we're set to lose about £35, and a good customer.
These people are being ok, although they are emailing us a lot. We've said we're contacting RM to try and resolve it. But I guess from their point of view they've spent a lot of money on items they haven't received.Surely they know that's not your fault tho'? Are people still expecting their parcels to be special and not affected?
When you refund the customer thank him/her for bringing the problem up for you because it helped you review your postage partners and reorganize it etc say how sorry you genuinely were for this inconvenience and include a discount coupon for the next order (a freebie delivery of new fudge would be better but I understand it's better not to trust RM not to fuck up twice the same customer if there's a strike thing on). You are a good person Rachey and you love what you do and it shows even here, good customers will understand. These people are being ok, although they are emailing us a lot. We can't even offer to send it all out again because we're running our stock down

That's what we're thinking. We've had a few issues with them since opening with things going missing etc. But most customers choose them because they're cheaper than a courier. So now we have to persuade them to pay a bit more.Rachey I think finding another courier company is the best idea, even pre-strikes Royal Mail weren’t GREAT.
Get some cheap moisture traps. They're pretty good. And maybe leave some windows on the latch some of the day.The mold is probably just condensation. Eurgh.
Although they're gonna clean up a couple of the doors and get a damp specialist in, so it could be worse.
See have them, but we need multiple ones to have any worthwhile effect. There's at least 5 spots where there's a problem.Get some cheap moisture traps. They're pretty good. And maybe leave some windows on the latch some of the day.
Is it mostly on outside walls? I mean I get condensation can cause some issues, but excessive black mold seems quite extreme.See have them, but we need multiple ones to have any worthwhile effect. There's at least 5 spots where there's a problem.
No inside! Is it mostly on outside walls? I mean I get condensation can cause some issues, but excessive black mold seems quite extreme.
Oh ok, I've only had it on outside walls because they're colder. We get it in our spare room. Maybe a dehumidifierNo inside!
