VOTE TO EVICT - Up to 5!

18 - Gentleman (31/40 votes - 77.5%)
17 - What Are You Waiting For (25/40 votes - 62.5%)

Gentleman and WAYWF out at the first hurdle. The latter I don't think I've ever heard. When it comes to the Greatest Hits Finest Selection project it's ALL about the Megamix, which may or may not have been mentioned on Moopy before?

Gentleman was the second single from their last studio album Living For the Weekend, a rather steep veer from its #1 predecessor with GA-style-spoken word singing and a mish mash of CONFUSING lyrics as the opening lyrics even seem to question them themselves:

A gentleman is so 1995, so hard for a girl to find
A real husband's so 1999, so hard for a girl to find (What?)

Round 2 - go!

I’ve only just looked up the real lyrics for Issues, and never considered that it wasn’t “don’t know if I should STAB you or kiss you” :D I always thought it was a weirdly brutal lyric

Gentleman scored a mere THREE on the all important IguanRate:

03 Gentleman - Now this has veered onto the wrong side of cheesy. The talky bits are cringe (do they mention Judge Judy as a gentleman?!) - a bit Vanilla! - and the attempt to create a party chant about the '90s is very transparent.

Which I think was edited for the single version? Making it seem even more out of place when you hear it. They really accentuate the STAB as well :D

Why do I feel it was changed too? Maybe more people thought it was stab instead of slap so they just changed it anyway

Gentleman is one of the most baffling follow-ups to a long awaited and much wanted #1 single I have ever heard

You had his baby, so you might got him for now
He already had the milk, so why would he go buy the cow?

Name ANY song with better lyrics

I love when girl bands abandon the sisterhood and solidarity branding and go for the jugular. Break up that family, The Sats!

It’s the references to Larry David and Lamar Odom that get me. Did they really think they were going to crack the US market with THAT?!

This is stupidly hard already, well it will be once the four I've voted for are gone. I couldn't bring myself to five.

Missing You is a beaut you cruel people, and 7 votes for Disco Love already? The fuck. That's the most perfect slice of happy gay pop they ever did do.

For such a faceless group with zero vocal distinction whatsoever and a career hampered every year by at least one terrible decision, it does feel like they were ended far too abruptly.
