Morning loves!

So, last night I destroyed Dry January with a game of very drunk chess with a chum and now Mr Sheena is giving me looks because I’m supposed to be driving us somewhere for a fun day out and all I want to do is cry about the state of my life in bed.

SEND HELP.

Hi Moopy.

We're up and on the ferry on the way to Bristol. I was hoping to see @lolly tomorrow but we're going to Wales for the day I think.

And off to see the Cher musical tonight.

Lolly any decent pub/bar recommendations by the water for this afternoon? Not too busy.

Also I see Flybe have stopped flying. Sad times. I've used them a few times from Soton airport.

Good morning! At a bit of a loose end today, which feels lovely. Mr COB has a bit of uni work to do this morning but then I want to take him somewhere NICE and LOCAL but also CHEAP (payday soon but not yet :eyes:). I'll put my thinking cap on 🤔

Oh bugger, is this the day we talked about a while back? Never mind, I'd have struggled to have seen you for more than an hour anyway.

Everywhere by the water is usually quite busy, but as it's cold it may not be too bad.

I'd try https://www.underthestarsbar.co.uk/ on Narrow Quay - a tapas cafe/bar on a boat. If you're standing on the city centre with the Hippodrome on your right and the cascade steps in front of you, it's the boat you see in front of you moored to the left.

If you want somewhere a bit more PUB like, please avoid the pub right next to the Hippodrome - I think it's called the Drawbridge now. You're better off walking a couple of minutes to King St.

Yes it is, not to worry!

Thank you, can we just turn up or should we book?

If you're sure you want to go, I'd book. I've only ever turned up there on a whim, but have been turned away on occasion.

You go to the WORST places.

Plymouth also ALWAYS mistaken for Portsmouth cause of the naval connection. I get told all the time “oh you’re from Plymouth, aren’t you?” 🙄
I had a friend who went to one instead of the other for a fucking college interview.

Ok I'll see how our timings go. I think we're at the theatre from 6.30pm.

Trying to decide on lunch between Mollies Diner and Bertha's Pizza 🤔 we have done Mollies before.

Mollies is nowhere near the centre, you realise?

I stayed there every week when I worked in Wales. LOVE IT but it’s literally on an industrial park.

Yeah but it kills time before we check into the hotel, which is also no where near the centre. We're then bussing in.

I was supposed to be going out for BRUNCH with LADY A who is BREEZING THROUGH on the way back from the Arsenal match but ALL the trains have been cancelled AGAIN so she's SHOUTING in the STATION instead. Well I don't think I could have stood the excitement of going out anyway. There's always ZOOM with the OLD FOLK :boring: BUMHOLES to AVANTI WEST COAST

I was randomly going through some of my private messages on Moopy yesterday. I had no idea how long of known some of the Moopy posters. For some reason I always assume @COB is fairly new, but we were messaging 10 years ago.

Strange how time goes so fast.

And I didn’t!
Though the parts just outside, where the lab I was visiting was, were pretty nice and hilly. And I saw a WILD DEER
Yes, I think the best thing about Plymouth is its proximity to other places. As long as the other places you want aren't civilisation.

How about a rub against the gravestones in the Necropolis followed by a cheeky Yum Yum?
