I think it's as Jark said. She's established a reliable following of listeners. Her kind of pop will always have a fanbase.

it helps that few artists are doing this "pure pop" thing right now and those who are generally don't have the hit rate or killer pop instincts that she does.

i think she can sustain a career at this level, with only occasional/minor hits, but it would help solidify her place in the game if she could become a touring artist. there's a tour coming this year and I'LL BE THERE.

HITS didn't include it in its initial projections for the US so I imagine it's going to debut less than 20k sales plus streaming. I'd expect it to debut lower top 30.
