Spreadsheet screenshot: you'll see that it starts with Queen's votes and the scores drop down. And the coloumn that says "5 votes" was for my leaderboard moments - to the right then goes 10, 15, etc, but I just added those video bits as I went along. One leaderboard was slightly incorrect as I never put Selma down by mistake and put down either Suedey or HerSerene down twice. Another error was putting down Serene down as voter 21 having followed voter 22. And I think that's all my errors covered. Oh I'm done in.
 
A mid-table finish for me which means back to basic bops next time to please all the KYYNELII fans.:goodgrief:
 
I really thought this was Diddy's to lose - that song/construction/spectacle is like a new religion none of us are worthy enough to worship and I just loved Zen's comment along the lines of "I would die for her". I also thought Rita was going to nab it, a song that improved for me tenfold when I listened without the video. Fozzy was a leader for about the first 5 votes that were sent in. I'm relieved all songs got points, but it was quite as surprising to see how it settled. I hope it's okay to mention that funky wanted Kate's song, but what I loved and thought was just too cute was they also sent basically the same avatar (Muriel's Wedding) - musical soul mates. Oh and we also had a voting scandal, but I don't think I have permission from the accuser to mention the accused, but needless to say this could have been the peak absurdity enjoyment moment for me.

Thank you to everyone who took part - what a privilege to have been the ghost host for such a strong set of songs.
 
Could we have the list in order of points?

And maybe a list of song+poster, because I don't think I've ever seen that for this ASFM.

I'll try to do this at some point in the golden oldies movies thread I sporadically like to bump whenever I get the notion :disco:

Just finished reading the thread now. Raspberry asked about a film for Kate's votes, this film was the really rather moopy-ripe Joanna (1968). It's like those Ab Fab dream sequences or holiday outings, but in an actual film. Gen Waite, who is also the singer here, was quite special. Didn't someone enter her Femme Fatale cover in one of the ASFM speed rounds? I should also point out that Youth by Foxes (Rita's votes) was also a previous pre-reboot ASFM entry and may well have even won. I didn't get around to re-doing this montage as it was actually one I made around 10 years ago. Oh and Serene's film question - The Lady from Shanghai (1948) and yes I chose it as I do believe Suomi looks like a young Orson Welles (both tortured geniuses I'm sure) and thought he'd appreciate the shoot out (Kylie arguably references this film in her ITV special performance of this song - it has always stayed with me).

Final message now that I've read all the @s - just gorgeous, thank you all.

Edit: funky I'll update the OP with all that info as you're right, it needs to be shown.

Oh Diddy I don't blame you. I got let off so easy last night (or whenever it was, who knows anymore). I was cringing the entire week of the delay knowing the big challenge that awaited anyone wanting to know who won.

25th place doesn’t really fit in with my fantasy but fortunately I’m beyond the point of cohesive thought now

I kinda gave up half away, as magnificent as it all was, as I was struggling to keep up (NOTE TO ALL FUTURE HOSTS: WE WANT TO SEE THE POSTER NAME IN THE RESULTS), but was pleased I scored another top 10 after the event. It's a lovely song that I think @funky posted in a new music Friday topic about three years ago. Thanks babe!

I absolutely LOVED IT, but still am not sure on my placing? I think I done A LOT better than my usual placing so I must ask the question. Am I FINALLY getting BETTER at this shit?
