Hmm, mixed bag of lip syncs this episode, but some good ones.

I really hope at some point just cartwheeling and death-dropping your way through a performance becomes as much of an instant disqualifier as taking off your wig. It's so boring!

That said, Sasha absolutely killed it. I also loved Salina and Mistress, although from the reactions of the other girls I suspect the latter was given a very generous edit.

Spice REALLY got a lucky break there, she was dreadful both times and by rights should have been the obvious choice to go home.

I was also a bit bemused when somebody referred to Vanessa Williams 1988 hit 'The Right Stuff' as being 'totally Luxx's era' - how old is Luxx?! :D

Jax is an amazing performer and I think probably would have been saved if they hadn't seen her lip sync so often already, but it was one time too many for her.

I was really happy with outcomes of the first four lipsyncs, but that whole episode was so transparently scripted, it was painful to watch. Down to Anetra choosing Jax over Spice, because choosing Spice would be… unfair? :eyes:

I enjoyed this episode; no fake drama, no sob stories, no condescending shit from the hilarious Ross Mathew

Anetra is everything, I’m so happy we got to see her perform three times. I did feel sorry for Jax; she’s also an incredible dancer, but her charisma didn’t come through the tv screen.

Mistress, London, Malaysia and Loosey all need to stay because of the shade they keep giving, and how easily offended they become too. Loosey looks like she’s getting the Alexis Michelle edit and I’m here for it.

Barely half way through and this is an EXCELLENT episode. They recruited nothing but lip-synchers for the whole ass season! No wonder they runways are so rancid.
 
And I'm OBSESSED with Mistress :D She is serving self-aware reality TV excellence.

And the Mistress VS Jaxx Taylor Dane lip-synch was SOOOOOOOOOO good.
 
Ok, even I'm sick of Spice now. Her Lip-Synch save was hilarious "OMG" *thinks it's a compliment* :D Iconic on the most tragic level :disco:

- Loved Malaysia thinking she'd picked a total lemon in Marcia cubed and getting seen away :D

- Spice does not feel long for this world.

- I really didn't want Anetra to go - the THINGS she can do with her body are jawdropping :o - but my god that final lipsync felt disappointing. Jax totally won - that flip leg stab hurl!
 
Well I'm fully in my Sasha-Anetra era, but also lived for Luxx's second go (#buysecondgobylightsoutnow). The puss that comes out Mistress whenever squeezed from criticism, it's just instant oozing of cunt and never runs dry. If nothing else she does not miss a talking head or untucked beat (although truth be told I haven't seen any Untucked yet), but her lip sync flatlined all the while her make-up looked like a miner who had just taken off their goggles. The Right Stuff was exquisite - their formation lived up to that name even if Jax's look was that of a toy troll with clothes that fasten up with velcro somewhere at the back. Goose has reached the point of no return with her edit - anyone winning will zoom in on her with god knows what effect if she doesn't give off enough disappointment already. Her win was very much a muted one - Spice was hardly that far behind. My u-turn for Titties continues to beam loud and ashamed - her comedy is crass and obvious and right now I can't get enough of it. The only real downers were having to look at cut-to's of Ross, especially the one where he starts and just as quickly stops trying to dance along. Ru serving Bea Arthur both in the workroom and on the runway was also a gag, but that just could be down to what I'm watching on youtube lately.

Just been catching up on this season, and obviously it's already been said but the editing is fucking ridiculous. This episode was actually one of the worst for me. The way it just...started :D It gave me the impression of an episode where something planned fell through and they quickly shoehorned in this, no guest judges etc (yes I know they've been doing these lip sync episodes for a while now but it just felt different).

I enjoyed the whole thing, but it felt more set up than ever. As if somehow Jax ended up being the worst lip syncer standing, it's ridiculous. Perfect opportunity to bump off Spice who I assume is being kept around by MTV for TikTok viewer purposes. Jax is a bit soulless but she arguably won that last lip sync, as much as Anetra was killing it. Jax would've been off sooner or later anyway so why manufacture an exit in the ONE thing she's good at? It's insulting really.

I'm not sure Mistress won her lip sync OR that dreadful challenge the other week so don't know what's going on there, but god I kind of don't care when she's giving so much cunt every other minute.

Did Sasha even get a line before her lip sync? Again horrible editing. She was spectacular though. Early on I was convinced she was being edited favourably to be seen as a winner despite the evidence being questionable, but the more time has gone on she has been remarkably consistent. I think, who can say, they'll film it how they please.

Surely Anetra vs Sasha now, I think Luxx and Loosey may have fallen by the way side.

Not the most riveting season, and that Daytona challenge was possibly the worst thing I've ever witnessed since...the last time I said that, which was probably in Canda VS.
 
I think Sasha Anetra Mistress Luxx for top four does seem like an obvious bet. I hope it isn't a five person final again.
 
Also that first episode, very surprised to see Irene or whatever she was called out first. Not that she seemed like a frontrunner but she got a lot of screen time. Which is fair if you're only in it for five minutes I guess. Is that a new MTV thing or maybe they've been editing that way for a while now I don't know.

The water thing was unforgivable, but I'm sick to death of bland robotic lip syncs being given a free pass in these talent show challenges. It needs to stop. Yes Irene was shit but there was worse on show going through the motions. I feel she'll resurface somehow again, on Belgium vs the World next month probably

I think maybe they want to maximise the firs out queen's screen time to try to apologise for making them spend tens of thousand and then sending them home after a day. We haven't had an actual first episode elimination of US drag race in years.

Although poor Princess Poppy was out next and I barely remember a thing about her.
 
This season has several fun girls, but it feels unfair for any of them to compete against Sasha as she so obviously has it sewn up?

I'm not sure about the USA, but ANECDOTALLY in the UK making this Wow-Presents only seems to have killed the US franchise STONE DEAD. Only the hardcore seem to be bothering, and the internet CHIT CHAT seems at an all-time low.
