Is anyone watching Fleishman is in Trouble? Just watched episode 7 and it's probably the best hour of television I've watched in years. Claire Danes is spectacular as usual in this.

American Horror Story season 11: the gay NYC one. Oh my at the cruising murderer's get up from behind. I hope they made some BTS "things".
 
Whilst I'm always pleased to see the magnificently horrible Patti LuPone get work, I feel they really should have tried to cast Madame Midler for the bathhouse singer given we all know it's part of how she met Barry Mannilow, etc. Fab rendition of Fever though.

Women Who Rock on Sky Arts, featuring a huge array of starry (and slightly less starry) talking heads.

Mavis Staples in the first episode is such joy.
 
Literally just got into Taskmaster, and I love it.

Most the series have been uploaded to YouTube, so catching up as quickly as possible.

Just caught up on the first 4 episodes, love it! Absolute trash at it’s finest, Harrison is a gas lighting cunt. Basically saying he didn’t find Bronte sexually attractive after he had sex with her?!

What a slog American Horror Story NYC has turned into. In no surprise whatsoever, at episode 7 it all came undone and switched to another plot. 2 episodes left. I hope the next premise is absolutely terrible so that I can avoid at all costs. And hardly any decent nudity - that's the biggest horror of all.
 
Anyone else watch the Joe Lycett thingy ? Was a bit chaotic but a lot of fun !

I recently watched 'Better' on BBC which I really enjoyed if anyone needs a drama to binge

Just finished S3 of The Bay which was decent mid-week fodder, I still prefer the previous lead but this one is growing on me

Finally got round to the Luther movie last night. Watchable but felt more unrealistic than usual and less character development, so not a patch on some of the series' but to be expected for the movie, I guess
 
Better was good until an odd ending. I think I have one episode left of The Bay. The new lead is quite good, but they feature her kids far too much. I also always think her partner is quite shifty, probably due to distant memories of him in Hollyoaks and Revenge.

The Luther film feels it has been left a bit too long. I will get round to it at some point but it isn't calling me.

Agree about The Better ending, but I was drawn to that leading lady, she was quite compelling.

Luther was watchable and did not seem 2 hours, but you'll see what I mean they went quite BOND at the end and it sort of raced through with none of the usual character stuff that you get with the series
 
I binged Rain Dogs on iPlayer with Daisy Mae Cooper.

I mostly very much enjoyed it.
 
Just finished the Brooke Shields documentary on Disney+. The footage of her being treated as a Lolita figure when she was 9-15 years old is horrifying, and while we've (thankfully) come a long way in that regard, it really drives home the utter hypocrisy of the current moral panic over Drag Queens when there's ample archive footage of respected straight men in the 70s openly leering at her on national television. Hideous.

My only complaint is that the promotion for the documentary has been very centred around 'isn't it incredible how NORMAL she is?!' and I felt like the documentary never really challenged that assumption. Which makes sense, as it was directed by her best friend, but I'd have liked it to dig a bit deeper. She certainly seems better adjusted than she has any right to be though, given the life she's lived.

 
Two seasons of Australian Survivor dropped on Prime last week, so I've watched precious little else and will be unlikely to for the next week.
 
I have a few episodes of the second series of Ginnie and Georgia to finish, I have just realised. Whilst I like it, it has not GRABBED me like the first season did.

I think I am going to start Race Across the World from the start, too, as I stumbled across if a few nights ago and watched half an ep
 
We binged Magpie Murders over Easter, and I really enjoyed it. It's a very agreeable romp - almost daytime like in tone, compared to the grittier dramas, very Agatha Christie, and Lesley Manville elevates it all hugely.

It was on Britbox a year ago, but has now landed on BBC1 and iPlayer. I think a second series has already been confirmed.

I'm watching at broadcast pace so just a couple in. I think Lesley makes it really but I am going with it. I abandoned the Christie adaptation on ITV after half an hour.

Watched the first episode of Australian comedy Colin From Accounts tonight, which I found very likeable and amusing. It is on BBC2 but assume all the episodes are on iplayer.
