Side note: why do we have so many words for WOODLOUSE of all things.

@COB the fact we both had Inverness highlighted, I wonder if that extends to our pronunciation and we both have that Invernesian twang (also known as the dreadful Glasgow Uni accent) :zombie:

Same for me. I don’t think the quiz is perhaps as good at identifying the differences within Scotland itself. There were options in the quiz that I could identify as the “Scottish option” so to speak but in my eyes they seemed really Glasgow and not what I would say as someone who grew up in the south east of Scotland.

That's me. Although I have a northern mother and spent the first five years of my life in Yorkshire, I generally see myself as from THOSE PARTS.

Almost spooky although a bit odd that it veers towards the east coast. We must have been posh for Glasgow.
 
"Council juice" (for tap water) has tickled me immensely. Where is it called that?
