One year today, I set up my company. Well, launched it- I'd secretly set it up whilst still in that BINFIRE of a previous job I was at. That same day I got my first client through a LinkedIn post and the rest is history. I'm really hoping today's HAPPY BIRTHDAY social media blitz does something similar, because it's been a SLOW 2023 so far :D. Seems crazy that that was a year ago- I still feel like it's all so "new".

Anyway, Happy Birthday Peach Translations. May you long keep me in beer and wigs.

I still remember how I jumped into freelancing, leaving a relatively secure job in 2016 - part of it was exciting, part of it had me shit-scared for months about my financial situation. I think it turned me into the workaholic that I am cause I said yes to almost everything and I gobbled up every opportunity. :D

Although I eventually went back into full-time employment in 2018, I'd have never really found my way into a career path that I love without taking that risk. Though I know in your case, it has been a structural change rather than a career path change.

Still, don't forget to give yourself credit for all the things you manage to get done rather than looking at what isn't there just yet.

Off work for 5 weeks because of this wanker and his songs and words and things. Well, not because of - just wasn't a mirror I wanted to look into.
 
Is Pikachu an ally? I guess he hates the genderqueer one in Team Rocket purely for being in Team Rocket and not for anything else, so it feels likely.
 
@Star I have an eye question.

I got my eyes tested for the 2nd time last year, no major changes so I didn't get new glasses. But the last couple of months I've noticed I'm squinting more and struggling a bit. I'm assuming I need another eye test and probably new glasses? How rapidly does eyesight decrease as you get older? :(
