Started watching 'Crime' on ITV1 last night, its a Scottish cop drama and an Irvine Welsh adaptation, very gritty and less polished than you would usually get for a primetime drama but quite enjoyed it, will definitely keep with it. I have not heard of it before so no idea if there have been previous series.

I have got rid of my netflix as I just was not watching it at all, so between 'Crime' and 'Its Just Like that' - those will be my series' to be getting on with and quite contrasting.

Crime was released in 2021 on Britbox but there has been no confirmation of a second series yet.

Ooh OK, there does seem a lack of new stuff being broadcast at the moment, what with Anikka also being shown weekly but shown previously on UKTV, and i noticed last night some of the quiz shows were not new either and repeats and not daytime either, talking 6pm saturday night

The Summer tv schedule is always pretty rubbish as the channels don’t get the viewership in the good weather.

Yeah I realise this, but for some reason i found it more noticeable this year. and yes, I bloody love Autumn schedules :disco:
 
Last night I watched ep 1of Queen of Oz - Catherine Tate's new sitcom about a disgraced princess shipped off the Australia. It was objectively terrible and a lot of that was down to her truly awful performance... but by the end I had laughed a bit and was starting to like it? So I will watch more, bizarrely.

I was coming here to ask if anyone had watched this. I have recorded what has gone out so far, and I generally think she's TALANTAD, BBC are promoting it to death, but I can't bring myself to start it, yet. Oddly, heard no reviews one way or other. I guess I'll stick it on this week..
 
I'm now three eps in and it's the weirdest mix of fucking awful but rather enjoyable and likeable/watchable with it? I don't understand, so would welcome your thoughts.

The reviews have been pretty unkind - 3 stars from the Guardian is the kindest I've seen.
 
I binged all of the new League of their own Tv series yesterday

Such a great show, brilliant performances all round and so QUEER

Glad it’s got a second series (only 4 episodes)
 
Has anyone watched Before We Die on channel 4? I am downloading all the episodes just now, and see this is the second season. Is it worth a watch?
 
After saying I don't watch anything on Netflix, I've spent tonight bingeing this while Mr L is in bed with a migraine. I found it strangely moving by the end, after a relatively mundane opening couple of episodes.

That was one of the shows that I kept being sent to watch, given that I am a Gladiators mega fan. I'll have to watch it at someones. Who am I kidding, I'll probably get netflix back once I am done with And Just Like That :D
 
I see 'Screw' is back on Channel 4 soon for a second series. I didn't watch the first, but on paper it looks like a gritty british prison drama which is right up my street. The first series I don't think did too well, and a few people that watched is said they gave up first or second episode as it doesn't go anywhere. Did anyone watch it here/should I watch the first series before the second starts?
 
I was one of those who gave up after the first/second episode and will not be watching the new season. I can’t actually remember anything about it now, but remember thinking at the time that THIS IS NO BAD GIRLS.
 
So i started this show quite late night on BBC1 called 'We Hunt Together' - had no idea what it was but I found myself quite gripped and wanting to watch the rest which are all on iplayer. I googled as I was surprised i had not heard of it and why it was on so late. Turns out there have been two series and they both have aired on ALIBI also.
 
3 Non Blondes is back tonight on BBC2. Who knew! Was one of my faves back in the day

As far as I remember the first series was much better than the second.
 
I liked Stace Solomon but Ellie Taylor is very good hosting Bake Off The Professionals.

This is just a repeat of Series 1 rather than a brand new series which is not surprising since the whole premise of the show is trolling the unsuspecting public and everyone would recognise them anyway. But the show isn’t on iPlayer so it’s a welcome addition. I used to love it!

Yes I have realised, I saw Series 2 the ladies return to the streets of London, and assumed it was back, as seems random to put it on now!
I played to death the DVD so don't need to watch it again :D

So ALIBI used to be one of the UKTV channels and is half owned by the BBC which makes sense. These shows have got great casts to be shoved on a pay channel that its not widely known really. I imagine that they are paid well and informed there is a good chance the drama may be shown on mainstream BBC after its been on ALIBI and then sold around the world. The second series of We Hunt Together is not on iplayer yet though, the swines.
 
Finished The Change on Channel 4 last night. Very different but enjoyable and a great last episode.
 
I read some pretentious sounding quotes from Ridgeley which put me off a bit but I do want to watch it at some point.
