My body feels sore from all the biking and swimming this week.

Probably should have kicked it back for an extra day after my Covid vaccination :zombie:.

I opted for takeaway and an early night over solo debauchery. What happened to me.

I haven’t been offered another vaccination? Am I TOO YOUNG? :eyes:

I have REPEATEDLY. I've been perversely hesitatent. Think I'll wait for the flu jab double whammy.

I had a go at homemade Findus style crispy pancakes last night, filled with cheese and ham. They were messy to make and I didn't particularly like them, but Mr L did.

I'm not bloody making them again.

I've not been offered, but I kind of feel the same. I'm not going to look for it, but if they do it with the flu one again, I'll take it.

I thought you would have been in your field of work. I haven’t been offered the flu jab either. Is that for 50 and over?

Well last year I booked for the covid jab as a routine booster (as in not due to my work) and was offered the flu one at the same time, which I believe you are eligible for after hitting 50. Last year was the first I had it, although I could have also had it the year before.

I just checked the NHS website to see how you book a covid booster these days, and this is what it says now, for England at least - not sure if Scotland is different.

Changes from 30 June 2023

You cannot currently book a COVID-19 vaccination online or over the phone.

For most people, vaccinations are only available seasonally. This service will open when seasonal vaccinations are available.

Off to Brighton today. Hoping not to be mauled by seagulls.

I’m going to Brighton in October. I haven’t been since pre-Covid. What’s still open and worth going to GAY BAR wise?

I always liked Legends. But I have no idea what's good anymore.

I didn't get the last booster jab because there were never any appointments available and when flu jab time came around and they said we could get both at the same time our GPs had run out of stock. If it's available at the same time as the flu jab this year I'll get one but I won't be going out of my way to find somewhere doing them.

If I got offered one I would certainly take it. I am still very much pro vaccination and do always get a pang of anxiety when I hear of yer another variant. A lot of my friends and family have now turned to being anti-vax and the initial anti-vaxer’s are now very SMUG.

I'm deffos not an anti-vaxer but unless something drastic happened in terms of a mutation I wouldn't have any more jabs. I've had the initial two and covid a couple of times at least. I think now, natural community immunity for those who aren't at risk is enough, and my body has the tools it needs from the vaccine and infection.

My son is at the football today so I am not cooking for one. Takeaway for one and bottle of red with some Call The Midwife is going to be my Sunday evening.

How is Mr Clun today?
BLESS YOU FOR ASKING SWEET CHEEKS

Still in the ICU but they seemed to have stopped the bleeding BOBS CROSSED

I've just been over there on the train (and all I can say about THAT is THERE AREN'T HALF SOME STRANGE PEOPLE ABOUT) and shortly I am going back in the car with my WITTERING MOTHER IN LAW

Fucking trains. I broadly support people getting their deserved pay increases but why did they have to strike on the two days I actually need a train. Going to have to fork out extra for hotels a day before.

Update: no they haven't stopped it :(

I don't like to PANDER TO STEREOTYPES about LIVERPOOL but I've never seen another hospital where the entrance is surrounded by PATIENTS in DRESSING GOWNS in WHEELCHAIRS SMOKING :disco:
