Up early for a commute down to London and a fleeting reminder of why I fucked off having a 9-5 decades ago. Horrible.

I'm off to take Heathcliff to be cremated. Everyone keeps telling me to take the day off work, but I can't see what I'd do apart from mope at home drinking vodka all day...which does sound appealing.

But instead I shall go make fudge to make small talk with hopefully not too annoying customers 😬

Yesterday we got asked why we don't make marmite or liquorice fudge 🤢

I bet you Marmite would fly off the shelves...

Hmm see I'm wondering if it actually would sell ok. I mean, garlic fudge sold.

Might be one we do next summer.

I reckon it's the sort of thing that would work as a 'limited edition' Christmas thing.

Ooh a poll is a good idea. I think we'd only sell it loose as we'd need all the labelling otherwise. But I might speak to Roly's about doing it for Christmas.

We've just dropped heathcliff off at the crematorium and I cried for the first time :(

I don't know if it's your type of thing, but have you seen those jewellery bits you can get made with ashes inside? They do like necklaces and rings etc.

Yes! I actually have a necklace with my grans ashes that I never take off. I'm getting his ashes back and for now they will go into the cushion I have of him. I am tempted by a necklace tho.

Now, when my Dad CARKED IT, he wanted to go to a really boring cemetery memorial garden. So I nicked a little tube of him, popped half up the allotment where he loved to be and which I've taken over and which the family can visit if they want. He's under the apple tree- I thought he'd like to be part of the food chain he created to be honest. And the other half went in the sea as he loved to fish and in the place I go swimming most days, right in line with the lifesaving belt thing on the shore.

I often find myself chuckling at him being REALLY FUCKING ANNOYED at being bodily spread out all over the globe :D

I'd have loved to do something nice with some of my dad's ashes, but it ended up being a bone of contention between the family and his partner so we ended up not getting any of them. Oh WELL!

We didn't even take my mum's ashes. My dad found the idea morbid and it was his call. I don't think we even discussed it.

I have no idea what happened with my grandparents ashes, which since my mum is an only child, must have meant she never took them either.

I reckon I'll do the same. I'm not one for sentiment like that.

We cremate and then bury the ashes in our family. Presumably just to be entirely certain.

I have already said I want my ashes overlooking the sea and I want a fucking bench.

I've no idea what became of my father's ashes. One of my half siblings probably snorted them.

Marmite is literal shit. I had no idea how widespread masochism was until I tried Marmite.

I love the idea of me being split up and scattered everywhere. I know when mandys nan died her ashes got buried and she got nothing which upset her.

Send me a bit of you over in some fudge so I can poo you out.

I don't think i've ever tried marmite. Which is odd, because I am a big fan of most things yeast (EXCEPT INFECTIONS)

How have you not tried it, I assumed every English person has tried it
