How did he become such a cultural icon in such a short space of time? In the mid noughties you couldn’t move for Quirky Girlz with Bagpuss backpacks.

My mousemat at work is Bagpuss, the background on my work laptop is Bagpuss, I have many Bagpuss related items around the house and somewhere in a box in my loft is a Bagpuss that sticks to the car window with suckers on the feet. My Bagpusses are all from the late 70s/early 80s though, apart from the DVD because they weren't invented in those days.

I used to say to dear old Ridley "Bagpup, dear Bagpup, old fat furry dogpup, wake up and look at this thing that I bring, wake up be bright, be furry all night, oh Bagpup please hear what I sing" and then I'd present him with his tablets wrapped in a piece of ham.

I have a Prof Yaffle ornament and a small soft Bagpuss. Love Bagpuss but Mr Men are my childhood nostalgia passion. Really I only have a few mugs but would happily accept ANYTHING related to Mr Men.

There has been an outside broadcast crew setting up across from my place all day. Turns out its Question Time. Might storm the broadcast and set off a smoke bomb
