Old TOTP (BBC4) (2 Viewers)

It is very odd. They are showing two old episodes every week so the gap on the schedule is there.

I'm excited. But I barely watched any 1994 and that was the PEAK OF MY YOUTH.

Literally my LIVE REACTION

I just watched that. Get that promo from 28 years ago!

So many bangers in early 1995. But that's entirely anticipated. The gay dance troupes seem to have a lot of work.

So that is why we got no 95 TOTPs all those weeks... they were saving Kylie for album release week!

There was so much thrusting by MN8 it almost got tiresome. Annie getting the big closing performance and the gushing intro from Kylie.

Oh, are we back? I'll need to fall into my traditional mode of waiting until the episodes are about to expire and then shitposting about them to no-one on a Sunday morning.

How opinions differ :D

I'd forgotten what an unpleasant voice the Deuce lead singer had.

And I thought that Let Loose song was really weak.

Runaway is a BANGER!

Weird performance though, especially the dancers. Get me two of Germany's cheapest homosexual dancers and dress them up terribly!

It made me feel very old to remember that he’s Lily Allen’s DAD.

Not a vintage pair of episodes TBH.

Agog at the sheer QUALITY of all the 1995 episodes compared to what we've had to endure the last few years till now!

I'd forgotten what a big hit that MN8 song was. They were definitely TOTP regulars, though the routine seemed to get progressively toned down.

Keith Allen is just unbearable.

Alex Party was rather butcher than I remembered.

Much as I generally prefer a female vocal, One Man In My Heart was definitely not The Human League’s finest hour…

I thought it was utterly gorge!

Been PISSING MYSELF at the rise of Love Can Build A Bridge the last couple of weeks, NATURALLY :disco:

Was 'Peter Tatchell's favourite band' some kind of GAY SLUR in the mid-90s? Was quite surprised to see it attached to pre-Corrs/Bunton TIN TIN OUT, of all groups.

The only thing I remember about Sean Maguire's pop career is that it seemed to last for an awfully long time considering he never actually had any big hits.

Well, the first batch are expiring tonight so here we are... :basil:

Making the sliver of info about Ultimate KAOS "Average Age 14" feels like a bit of a burn.

Massive Attack - Protection. A masterpiece. Absolutely magnificent, hasn't aged a day.
