What everyday thing do you struggle with?

I've found one.

I still have to look up "objective" vs. "subjective" every single time I use it. I mean, I KNOW now, but it took me so long that I second guess myself every single time and so I need to check.

Oh that took me years and even during my degree, when I really needed to know that shit, I was always second guessing.

NEW ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION JUST DROPPED. Putting plasters on my own fingers. I can never make them tidy, not have blood seeping out the top, and not use copious amounts. All three are impossible.

At least you’re good at injuring your fingers.

And by that I mean, wrap neatly without 3km of sticky tape and unsightly bulges.

Not NOW, but when very young I only learned my left from right because I had a prominent freckle on my left hand, and that’s how I decided I would remember forever. That freckle faded and completely disappeared by my 30s and I did get quite sad that I lost that little reminder :shy:

I still struggle with left and right :shy:

I have a vivid memory of being about 7 or 8 and I did extracurricular french lessons on a Saturday. The teacher turned her back to us to hold up her arms to teach us "left" and "right" and I was so confused why she did that. Nowadays I use it though to think "if someone's facing the same way as me, my left is their left, if someone's facing towards me, my left is their right"

It took me a very long time to fully understand what "driving on the left hand side of the road" meant too. I didn't understand how the left could be one side in one direction and another side in another direction... it wasn't till I actually started driving that it clicked really.

I have to scribble on the air with an invisible pen to remember my left and right.

Don't worry, you'll get liver spots you can do the same with soon enough.

Replying to WhatsApp messages.

I just started on a backlog today. It's not that I get a ton, it's just laziness.
It’s the stress of knowing they got the ‘read’ notification. And I hate people who turn those off as it’s just rude and evasive in itself. It’s when you receive them at an inconvenient time and forget to respond later.

I’m currently trying to figure out how to let someone down, as we went to see a band the other week which was nice for a one-off, but I don’t really want to see them again next year and make it a thing we do regularly.

Oooooh ooooh ooooh! I've got a good one...

WRAP PRESENTS
I'm an expert in wrapping gifts since opening the shop. As long as all gifts are square. I can even bow :disco:

Anyone who has a present this year that isn't box shaped is going to get it in the cheapest Card Factory Christmas bag I can find. Fuck them.

That’s why I have read receipts turned off!

I am expecting one of those vegan boxes from you as a Christmas present now you have teased me with them like that :disco:
If you send me a £10 note as a Christmas present I'll send you a box of vegan fudge :santa:
