Well, so far I'm doing NOTHING.

I feel the tiredness of the last five days in my body. 😴

Five days? More like THREE weeks beb. I’m supposed to make my big GYM COMEBACK today but I really don’t see how that’s going to happen.

It’s my ninth day in a row at work, only one more tomorrow then three days off. Aren‘t I lucky :eyes:

IT’S EXHAUSTING !

You agreeing to this ORDEAL:

Ill Do It 30 Rock GIF

I have a trial at another school this week. Potential gig from now until Easter. I'd be doing a full term so I can get some of my ECT under my belt. Two of my colleagues would be teachers I trained with, so that's fantastic. It's a good school in a nice location. The only minus is it's 40 minutes each way, but I can contend with that for the wage on offer. Plus it's only three days a week :disco::disco::disco:

I saw 2:22 last night, sadly sans Cheryl. Tonight I have dinner and another little ghost story play.

In the meantime I may curl up with some tea.

I was saying yesterday that my dream would be 2-3 days a week teaching plus some extra days doing something else would be my dream.

Though I am enjoying this job a lot.

I genuinely struggle with five days a week. It's so full on. I genuinely love it as a career despite that and all it brings. Three days is my perfect amount, plus I'll have invigilation if and when it crops up in-between, which is so mindless.

I'm glad you're enjoying yours. You teach English right? How long are you there?

Nooo, I'm out altogether. Well, I'm still in education, but work to support schools in a specific (inclusive) sector in NI. So writing cases for change, delivering staff development, promoting anti bias practice and lots of other ad hoc stuff.

The funding is only until March 2025, but we shall see what happens.

Oh that's quite interesting. You think you're out of the classroom altogether now?

I'm still on the subbing register technically but can't work as it's a conflict of interest.

I'd like to go back at some point in some sort of way, but not full time. It stressed me out too much, even at the best of times. Over here at least.

I like the idea of working with small groups and individuals. I think the relationship building part of teaching is what I was best at.

It is stressful at it's worst. I've found having a regular school helps neutralise that.

How are you with SEN stuff? Not my bag, but I know some people love it.

I worked as a class teacher in a special school for children with SLD for three years before moving out of teaching. I loved it at first and in theory, I just hit a wall. There isn't enough support systemically and I spent most of the time worried someone was going to get hurt under my watch so I never felt like I could take a break.

But I miss the kiddos and loved the staff.

Well there maybe some light weed before the art and ramen, but yeah, thats my cultured day.

I’ve got a hangover after staying in and boshing red wine and playing songs on YouTube but it’s really windy and rainy so that isn’t too bad a thing.

I have to go out later for a much delayed birthday dinner and wine tasting menu thing and I can’t really be bothered if I’m honest. Ungrateful slut.

Running my own business and being at the point it’s busy but not enough to take someone else on, I don’t ever actually have a day completely off. I can’t remember the last time I did.

Even if you did you’d feel guilt about it 😂

Yep- I took a "day off" a couple of weeks ago and ended up working in a motorway service station because I couldn't say "Actually, I'm not at my desk" to a client!

I'm experimenting with which nuts the local squirrels are happy to eat. Hazelnuts appear to be favourite, almonds second (surprisingly), walnuts third and they are consistently ignoring and leaving the brazil nuts up to now.

I put hazelnuts on the step at 11am, next door was jetwashing his decking, I went in the downstairs toilet and came back a couple of minutes later and they were all gone.

Maybe it was the jet washing neighbour?

We have squirrels on the common opposite and I was thinking only yesterday how I want to buy some nuts to feed them so this is VITAL INFORMATION.

In other news, I'm REALLY FUCKING TEMPTED to just FUCK IT and put my Christmas decs up tomorrow. I'm away loads in December and I really want to make the most of it. Thing is, I've not seen a single other place with them up yet- I normally at least wait until THAT happens.

There's a lass across the road we call 'Debt Mum', who put her tree up last week.
