The Moopy Moderator Election 2023 – Voting Open – Closes Monday 27th November at 6pm

I was early with my vote, but maybe late with this question: is there a code of conduct for mods? Particularly with regards to interacting with any member who has expressed distress, ie, not being passive aggressive to them or rallying their friends for support with @s for likes etc (totally random example of course). Just a thought :angel:

No, not formally. If we wrote down a policy for everything we'd spend too much of our life writing stuff down. I think this one is pretty commonsensical though.

All mods (and admin) are expected to be fair and unbiased in anything that requires their attention and particularly not abuse their abilities for any deliberate malice, provocation or bullying. Although if they don't like someone on a personal level that's fine, as long as it doesn't interfere with their responsibility. I would expect any mod/admin to themselves take themselves out of a situation where they are acting as a forum leader if they know they are likely to be biased, and equally i'd expect the rest of the mods/admin to call out when something doesn't feel right.
 
Absolutely confident I won't be a mod as of this evening. But it's been an interesting process.
