Oh this has been on my list since we started these, looks like I'm not the only one reading the viewing thread. I think I never entered it because a) it takes half hour to actually start and b) the pronunciation of the st in "ChriSTmas" is teeth grindingly annoying.

Other than that, it's lovely

Obviously quite fabulous BUT not something you'd actively go back to for pleasurable listening. I find these sorts of songs straddle a line between far too self aware and grating, or charming and clever - this falls much more on the latter side so deserves a whack of points

And yet, obviously it's terrible and the sinister way the blonde one steps into Santa's sack in a forced-at-gunpoint "sexy" manner is nightmarish

Something about titty in the chorus. And they could be singing about murdering dolphins for all I know, but otherwise this is GLORIOUS. Best so far. I love the avatar that goes with it too, what a winning combo.

Shea/Cyndi - yeah this is fun ish but if she thinks she sneak into a second entry without us noticing, she can jolly well...well not a lot really but she could at least give us something half as good as Into The Nightlife
 
Aqua - I didn't know this existed :o It's what you'd expect from Aqua doing Christmas although not quite top tier stuff
 
Kohmi - ah that festive theme of wearing a lovely sensible coat and wandering around a field. This is a proper rush of a banger but is it Christmas? Is it winter? IS IT?

She's very outspoken about her liberal political stance and its placement in country and folk musical tradition!

And the album is inspired by winter time, thanksgiving, the solstice, her love of choral music, rather than just Christmas.

It's wonderful.

Not sure who sent that song in though!

 
Ski Resort - Gorgeous. Seems very simple but there's a surprising amount going on there. Definitely a highlight
 
Ingrid Michaelson - Awww :( I thought it would be drab but this is very sweet and then builds into that lovely bit near the end.

My silly autocorrect on my phone meant I nearly posted this as "Ingredients Michaelson" which is cracking me up far more than it ought to

I actually did look her up after typing that (non serious) Republican comment and could see that, hence the "she seems a good sort" add on.

It's probably not for me but I AM going to give it a few more tries!
 
Confidence Man - I came across this and ruled it out but not surprised to see it turn up here. Disappointing though as they've clearly done better
